kinnsella Report post Posted October 6, 2017 One of the few sequels that match the original. 20 - 30 minutes too long.
Chipster Report post Posted October 7, 2017 Seeing it tomorrow night. Can't wait. 2 hours and 45 minutes does sound long.

kinnsella Report post Posted October 8, 2017 But. Does it answer the age old question? Do androids dream of electric sheep? depends on who made them...
IanMan Report post Posted October 8, 2017 All I have to say is "fcuk Jared Leto." Can't stand the guy. Still going into the movie with a completely open mind. I don't care if it's him in it if he does a good job, but I absolutely can't stand the guy. I feel there were plenty of better actors to choose from. TestShoot Report post Posted October 8, 2017 Being that I work with Imax I got a free showing on opening night. Visually very good, the cinematographer, Roger Deakins, is a legend and was in our offices apparently for a while giving his approval. It's in his contract, he gets final cut. Leto had no reason to be in the movie. Anna De Armas was stunning. The no budget Pauley Perrette "Luv" was lame. Given the plot of this one, Deckard's disposition is no clearer. There has to be a 3rd BR movie. The Philip K Dick Amazon Original series "Electric Dreams" looks equally as confusing. Probably as bizarre as "A Scanner Darkly"
Chipster Report post Posted October 8, 2017 Cinematography was stunning. Also was digging the music. It did not seem as long as it was to me.
Supercar Ace Report post Posted October 8, 2017 I don't like the original but I do like Sci-Fi so I'll try to catch this within the next few days.
CHADW Report post Posted October 9, 2017 I thought it was excellent. Music and cinematography were both great. Certainly could have been 30 mins shorter but I agree it didn’t feel 3 hours long either.

Probably as bizarre as "A Scanner Darkly" First-week grosses not good considering what it cost to make. We will be all dead if it takes another 35 years for episode 3. Han Solo/Deckard won't be reprising his role unless he is doing a "Castillo" camino in a walker. Glad a studio spent a $150m on anything not named spoonfed "Superheros." US/UK-Diablo Report post Posted October 10, 2017 I love these type of films. In the end it's not "did they answer the question(s)" It's do I care - and I didn't.

Rawr Report post Posted October 15, 2017 something different. First 3/4 is very good. The ending seemed too rushed and easy. Wanted the cyber girl to help when they were being attacked. Han solo and letos scene could and should have been much more interesting. Spoiler-- hes showing you a skull of your love and you just sit there?? Supercar Ace Report post Posted December 3, 2017 Finally got around to seeing it last night. My thoughts - What was great: -Cinematography and visuals where amazing -Music was awesome -Anna De Armas...so much YES -The theme of what is "real" vs what is artificial What wasn't: -So is Leto good? Bad? Or just...there? -Let's kidnap Han Solo but then leave notebook boy chilling...we could just kill him easily, but no, let's just leave and hope he goes about his day. -Didn't feel long but it was about 20 min too long...they could have snipped a few shots here and there -Robo revolution...yeah let's just gloss over that whole thing... I don't like the original Blade Runner at all but I did like this one. It's a solid film overall, and despite some glaring plot holes it plays with some interesting themes. I still think Deckard can't be a replicant because in the original their life spans where capped at 4 years. Though that makes for a truly depressing future, as you can have fully real sex bots and still knock them up and have everyone go ape sh*t chasing you over paternity.
