  1. I wonder when they'll do a rhombus special edition. I've been itching to get one of those, that'll really drive me to get one!
  2. You're spot on. Unfortunately the industry has now turned to "Advertorial Content" true automotive journalism is barely alive. This story just perpetuates that, and not acknowledging it just confirms the idea. When I worked in the industry reviews and opinions would be axed from publication because they didn't shine a pretty light on a car or brand (that was a big sponsor for the publication). And I understand the complexities and complications, because if you keep ragging on a car or brand, they won't let you borrow the cars or send you on the cool trips to evaluate them; and they sure won't spend those "precious" ad dollars with you because, at the end of the day, they want the money more than the objectivity and integrity from my experiences. Automotive Journalists are notoriously poor, and I'm not trying to be funny here, just speaking from personal experience. But a big reason most try getting into the game is because you can drive stuff you'll never be able to afford otherwise, go on trips you'd never be able to go on, and basically live the perception of a life that they desperately want to have. But it comes at a cost. They become bitter and jaded in many cases. In this case, I'm sure JL has some friendly relationship with VF and in an exchange for a vehicle loan or access, writes up a fluff piece about the products and how amazing it is and incredible it makes you feel, and then pukes it out to a very large platform. He also has a history of making "friends" with very wealthy owners and collectors to make a nice in for access to their vehicles and recognition. It's a lot of public ass kissing in my opinion. You really need to find those people or organizations that don't require the funds of the brands they evaluate if you want any objectivity.
  3. I hate to admit it, but i watched the whole thing
  4. That's pretty sharp. They look awesome. Quite comfortable and washable?
  5. I am aware this isn't a domestic board, but I know we have more than a few Corvette owners on here. And there are plenty who appreciate a good story about an original owner. This Hot Rod article is pretty awesome. Original owner has kept his 1963 C2 Corvette since new and has put more than a half a million miles on it! I love stuff like this and thought you guys might like it as well. Link: https://www.hotrod.com/articles/original-owner-1963-corvette-half-million-miles/
  6. Shots turned out great. Had any luck moving it yet?
  7. VF Engineering Huracan Performante compared to a stock Huracan Performante by Motor Trend. It's kind of a bizarre article, in that the author talks about his rock star friend, and then references famously accused plagiarist Paul Krugman in a article about aftermarket parts, but hey, got to stay relevant I suppose. An interesting look at the VF Engineering kit for the Performante, more than likely bought and paid for by VF Engineering (it's a pretty big fluff piece). https://www.motortrend.com/cars/lamborghini/huracan/2019/is-aftermarket-vf-engineering-lamborghini-huracan-better-than-stock/
  8. That was my first thought (AWS system), or some component related to it. Did you have the wheel maxed to one side or was it a gentle turn? If you didn't hear it at speed that might help narrow it down.
  9. This is hardly a General appropriate video, and as a warning, make sure you read your PM from me from earlier. Confirm you have read it if you want to continue to be a part of this community at any capacity.
  10. Outstanding find! Definitely works with the new "Green" vibe they are going for with a smaller carbon footprint.
  11. I've never been a bit watch guy, it blew my mind that people could spend what you could get a Lamborghini for on a wrist-watch. I get the appreciation and craftsmanship involved, it's just not my cup of tea. I'm more likely to break it when working so figured to never go very expensive haha!
  12. Just to be clear, the recall was completed by the authorized dealership, and then they are pushing you off two weeks with the new error? Myself, I'd be raising hell about it, because if you're a good customer and having a potentially serious issue, it should be taken care of, ASAP. I understand a backlog due to COVID bullshit, but still. They should get you squared away. I'd keep hounding the dealership.
  13. Link to Article: https://www.motor1.com/news/433017/lamborghini-diablo-redesign-2021/ Not really my cup of tea, but thought some of you guys might like this.
  14. I look forward to the interior updates, as I'm anxious to play around with that!
  15. Still one of my favorite Murcielago editions. It was very understated on the exterior, aside from the door decals, but the interior was top-notch! Would love to have one of those in the garage!
  16. The gradient paint is sweet, not sure how well it would age or if i would get bored with it. But I love it initially!
  17. We all know that traditional sportscars are a dying breed, and the Aventador will likely be the last of the naturally-aspirated V12's. Thankfully a "fully-electric" Lamborghini isn't on the plans for right away, it's "too soon" according to the CEO. There is a short little video interview with Bloomberg, and it's not bad. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/videos/2020-07-09/lamborghini-ceo-too-early-for-a-full-electric-car-video
  18. I've wondered about this myself. If i recall, someone here was complaining about the impracticality of a center lock wheel on their vehicle. Could have been Aventodar, but I don't recall. I would think it's a bit of a pain, and the gigantic torque wrench required to get the proper spec. But I could be wrong, I often am Let us know what you find if you hear anything else!
  19. I couldn't remember if it was Altima or the Sentra they were working on!
  20. Have Alex build you an all digital one, they've been doing some awesome ones for the GT-R's!
  21. Agreed. One of the few instances when I would choose a drop top over the coupe.
