  1. Nope, mine is an '88. That one is an anniversary.
  2. Sweet! Do you need a special stamp to drive in the city center?
  3. Your car kept mine company for 6 months while she was getting a compete suspension overhaul, including rebuilt shocks sent overseas, joints, bushings+++. It's never felt better. I'd swear Steve added some secret sauce to it. Better than new!
  4. I had a similar problem and it turned out to be a worn gear. It would start slow, catch, lift, fall some, fall some more, repeat. I hope it's your relay because getting that motor out is a B!tch.
  5. Can't speak for him but I'll tell you that I saw multiple protos in person. Initial cost included every aspect to achieve the final unit including protos, a perfect fab required to make the tooling, tooling, First Articles, hardware, seals, etc., not to mention time and uplift . Keep in mind the design had to be done from scratch. No patterns. That has to account for something. I think it came out great. What do you think people would pay on a group buy, say 10 units? Simply curious as I have NO monetary affiliation, just trying to help out the community. + I'm looking for a Murci and will probably buy one myself.
  6. Here’s a few more details on the hardtop. First and foremost it's Carbon Fiber and light weight! As stated in the other thread it’s a long story that started with a client that knew what he wanted at any cost. An outsourcing attempt failed so Steve did it himself. First in fiberglass then in Cf. The initial cost of the first pc including tooling was $100K. He’s in process making one now for another customer at half that. If there’s a lot of interest the price will continue to go down. (He approves of this message BTW, one of the most stand up guys you'll ever meet). Feel free to PM me for more info.

  8. Spoke with Steve this morning Kevin. You should have a message. Anyone that has a Murci and is interested PM me. A lot of tire kickers out there.
  9. Hey Kevin, I just sent him an email. Not sure how often he checks the front office phone. He's usually very prompt. Larry
  10. Just in case you missed this thread, if you need a top... http://www.lambopower.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=76707
  11. Sweet... I'll side with the black wheels. They change the whole look. Love it. But hey, make 'em pink if you want. It's your car. Regardless Blu Monterey can't be beat.
  12. Sometimes you come across something that just blows your mind. This is it. A Murci Roadster hardtop. Steve at Driven Exotics hand made a shell then used it to fabricate the forms, no expense spared. It will change the way you think about a roadster.
  13. Agree, the wheels are simply wrong. But hey it's an 88.5...!
  14. On the freeway in the SUV this afternoon, looked in the rear view and something was coming up on my tail. It looked sweet so I had to slow down. I immediately recognized the Alfa badge from about 200 feet away but this car just looked different: low, wide, almost F1’ish with a nice nose. It turned out to be a 4C. Now I’ve seen these a few times in person, most recently last weekend at Concorso, an although I like 'em up close they're a little small for me. On the road however they look GREAT. I'll go farther and say they look better on the road than in person. Wish they had a 2+2.
  15. Read through this entire thread because I was (am) seriously interested in the 2012 vs 2014 topic. Needless to say what a f@&$ed up thread.
  16. Quoting and old post but this is exactly why Roy is the man.
  17. Wow, how'd I miss this thread. Simply awesome!
  18. Just saw that in the latest Road & Track. My scanner isn't big enough to scan it in. Thanks Capt...!
  19. A very different game in Silicon Valley. Most of the best engineers, company founders, and venture capitalists drive understated cars, while many wear the same Levi's, shorts and sweatshirts every week. Show up in a high end car to meet someone for the first time and you'd be considered a sales player or a prude. With all the money in this area you see few high end cars during the week. Maybe because software engineers simply don't care. In private though, behind the gates, it's a whole different story.
  20. My thoughts exactly. Makes me wonder where my first car is...
  21. What a great refreshing thread. Congrats on all you're hard work. Sweet set up!
  22. Great perspective LV Eric. The way the way the article was written left the writer with no credibility. Your perspective/experience however makes perfect sense. Keep it up...!
  23. Looks good. I'd market it as an 88.5. This will be a good one to watch given the low miles and original DOT "enhancements". I'd paint it white
