What would you rate as making a living. You would need to be a dealer and be able to buy the watches wholesale and/or used . There is not that much margin to play with on a sub 20k watch, assume you can make 2k a watch, hardly an investment and the likelihood of that watch being worth much more that it's MSRP is not that high, although possible. Think of how many watches you would need to buy and flip to make a living and it has now become an active business and not an investment.

At that price point , one should buy what they like . A 20k watch is not an investment, I don’t know of any Patel at this price that are nice and they definitely will not appreciate either . Any Patelk with a potential for appreciation is usually 200k+

At the 3 mill mark which seems to be where pagani,Koeniggsegg and Bugatti are, the Bug is a no brainer. It certainly is just as exclusive as the other 2 and there are zero concerns about dealer network, service, parts and most importantantly in my opinion, the engineering and development work on the Bug is in a league of it's own. As far as Lambo is concerned and it's limited edition cars, the parent company has a lot to do with the why and but it isn't that fast or different, it cannot let a sub brand like Lambo be faster that it's main performance brand, which is the Bug.

What Cap said , the buyers of the 911R must feel really stupid now. , most of them were speculating anyway and I don't feel sorry for them . I am not upset at Porsche one bit , I just think they should review the VIP program that they put in place when the 918 came out , the one that gives 918 owners first crack at their new limited edition cars . A lot of them are ending up in the hands of speculators and gathering dust in garages , instead of being driven like they are meant to be. I had a good conversation with a Porsche executive about this and I think they are pretty upset about the situation as the program has backfired on them and they cannot wait till it is over , gonna be a while as I believe it is in place for 10years. I inquired about ordering a GT2Rs and I have to wait for the 918 owners to pass on their allocation before I get a commitement , ridiculous but unfortunately the way it is . I will pass if they give me more attitude , there is always a car out there for the right buyer and I will not pay over MSRP for anything
