Wow, that is scary stuff! So sorry to hear this but very glad you're on the road to recovery. All the best. Zack

Too cheap!
-
Yes! I had to wait until the last scene until I got what I was waiting to hear but it was worth it. I have to say I really enjoyed the film - but then I am a sucker for nostalgia!

Yeah he'll be perfect for this surely?
-
that certainly puts things into perspective...

Your upload speed is over twice as fast as mine - you should be cock-a-hoop !
-
But is it slower than mine? ! " I downloaded a Kaleidescape bluray this week.... took 27 hours... not exactly video-on-demand.. That's a good point - both those screenshots show faster uploads...how come?

Very cool! Whereabouts in Roatan were you? Stumbled upon that place back in 2003 as part of a America/Central America tour and ended up buying a beachfont lot at the Lawson Rock development , West Bay. Haven't been back since 2005 but got very fond memories of Roatan.

Fantastic ! - congrats on acquiring such an awesome machine

X10000000 ! That reminds me of the pre-moderator RD posts of the LP glory years! - absolutely fantastic.

WOW! - to say that is a stunning example would be an understatement... many congrats!

That's a mean looking Diablo! So how come it's not sold already at that price..
-
That is correct - no idea where the other figure came from!
-
Here is an actual ( well... appears to be legit anyway..) sale in the UK: http://www.silverstoneauctions.com/1998-lamborghini-diablo-sv ://http://www.silverstoneauctions.com/...hini-diablo-sv Sold for £ 185 K - £25K above highest estimate. That is a big number for a 98 SV ( = US$ 430K )

Unfortunately the age of the airframe means that no amount of money will get it back in the skies Such an awesome aircraft...
-
Just staggering to think that the pilot survived that..

Yet again you raise the bar :-) Having done a similar trip 25 years ago in a VW combi I am wondering: How did the motor cope with the intense heat? Did you have a backup vehicle with fuel? ( I seem to recall petrol stations were a bit thin on the ground out there... ) Were you concerned with hitting a roo at 180mph? ! Congrats on an epic trip that I guess not many would even contemplate in a Diablo ( fwiw I think you made the right choice of car - simply because the black looks so good against the red landscape !)

Thanks for that Albofaz, I've got this exact same problem except mine seems to be instigated by potholes in the road / hard acceleration etc.. It did this once before when I first had it and I figured it was an easy fix as it was sorted during a service and didn't show up on the bill. Dodgy contact with the plug/socket sounds likely - assuming it's the same setup for '98 as 6.00 ?
-
Car looks awesome
-
WTF is that abomination ? Not exactly a great example to back up your claim, and every other Diablo on there is substantially more expensive..
-
.... or it's a ploy to make the ones that have sat unsold @ £150K for the past year appear better value.....
-
FFS that's either a mistake or a joke surely! Did they only build 16 RHD '98 SV's then? I did not know that..
