  1. Anyone recommend a decent car wash that can accommodate 12.5” rear tire or detailer (either mobile or brick/mortar shop) within striking distance of Daytona Beach?
  2. Sorry I don’t have the answer. We ended up in court over issues with two different insurance companies. Won both but it was long and aggravating. In our cases the dollars were worth getting lawyers involved. I’m very glad your second doc found the source of the issue and it’s under control. Best of luck with the appeals and I hope someone on here can give you good advice. Health is the most important thing!!
  3. Since the battery was just changed - I suggest checking the connections to be sure they are correct and have good contact. I had all sorts of weird gremlins that happened one night in my LP560 and it turned out to be a loose battery connection. It was shortly after a dealer battery change, and when they reinstalled the battery they did a poor job with the connections. It's worth checking as it's very simple to rule out. Good luck! Topjay - did you mean the battery to the key? That's what I thought when I read your post.
  4. My Dad has one pallet left over from the truckload....it's up for grabs!
  5. Ouch! That sounds REALLY uncomfortable! I am the middle daughter of three girls. I give your daughter credit for being honest and open about her plans. That takes huge balls, and it also bodes well for the relationship that’s currently in place between her and her Mom. I assume you also have a great relationship with your daughter but you did say she approached her Mom with the question. I can understand why it would be SO tough to talk to a Dad about that. Best of luck! I can’t imagine how you feel but at least she is being honest and pro-active, and not sneaking around, hiding what she is doing, and taking big risks (with pregnancy and/or disease).
  6. Acid Green will be a very unique and cool color, especially with the interior touches and Weissach. The black CF exterior stripes will tone down the green a bit (if Acid Green could be "toned down" ) The GT2 I saw in Germany was GT Silver with Weissach and it was a snooze-fest. Congrats!
  7. PTS? Congrats!! Looking forward to pics/impressions. Do you have the color chosen? Is it top secret? Weissach?? Have you seen one yet in person?
  8. : How tall is that driver? His knees seem half way up the steering column and above the level of the center console. He looks like he barely fits in the Performante. He seems to have more room in the 2RS. Also seems as though he is letting PDK do the shifting. My assumption is the Perf is in Corsa. Looks like the RS is being driven harder. He is way over the curbing in several instances. The Perf seems to hold the line better There is no contest in looks and sound: Lamborghini all day long!
  9. I will never understand this Couldn’t watch the video. The title was enough. Sickening. What is wrong with people?
  10. I predict Penguins versus Mavericks (As you can tell I’m an avid fan)
  11. Spectacular!! Carbon is incredible! Enjoy for many miles in the best of health!! :monkeyleft:
  12. Bella! Enjoy for many miles in the best of health!
  13. I agree - wrapping paint for track use is highly recommended. I also wrap the windshield with Clearplex. It’s not a perfect product but after seeing the carnage on the windshield of my first track car I have covered each once since. On the current car (GT4) it took 3 applications of clearplex before I said yes. The first one the installer removed before I saw it - he said the film had too many defects. The second one wasn’t bad but the defects were directly in line of sight - couldn’t live with it. The third wasn’t perfect but defects were acceptable and not line of sight. He gave me half off (didn’t request a discount but he gave it for the inconvenience and also for keeping a product that wasn’t “perfect”) A girlfriend couldn’t stand clearplex on her track car and had it removed. Some people hate it but it really does save the windshield.
  14. Tarminator (available in lots of places - here’s one: https://www.autogeek.net/tarminator.html ) Never used on factory matte paint. Used on several (Lambo, ZO6, Porsches, Mercedes, etc) cars covered in Xpel and also bare factory paint (not matte paint). Works great and takes rubber off. Does not harm paint or Xpel film. Good luck - matte paint can be tricky A friend uses brake cleaner on his regular factory paint (991 GT3RS). No ill effects but it’s not matte paint.
  15. ^ +1 on following OEM torque step procedure. We also index the center locks (mark them with special paint) which shows at a glance if they have moved. Learned this from our pilot friend who is also a certified airplane mechanic and does a lot of work on his own cars (and helps us with our cars). Our Porsche tech indexes all bolts/fasteners under the car to see quickly if anything is out of adjustment. I would NOT use an index mark as a substitute for torquing wheels with five lug bolts - but with center locks it makes sense since you generally don't need to re-torque them after spirited driving. If they are moving , something is probably not right...
  16. I had a similar issue with the airbag for my ZO6 track car. I put in after-market race seats / harnesses, etc and I wanted both seats to have equal restraint. We ended up removing the OEM airbag "bladder" sensor from the seats and installing them in the race seats. We needed a dealer to re-set the airbag light after we were done. IIRC (for whatever reason) the resistor plug worked in the driver's seat but it didn't work on the passenger seat. Removing the air bag sensor wasn't too difficult but obviously you don't want to damage it if you plan to put your car back to stock. This wouldn't be necessary if it's a track only car and trailered back and forth. I drive the car to/from the track and also use it for errands/trips and I want the air bags working for non-track use. Don't forget if you are using 5 or 6 point harnesses you'll need an anti-sub bar installed under the seat. This can get tricky with clearances. Maybe there's a shop with Huracan experience that can advise on the best anti-sub bar. For the ZO6 I didn't want to drill the floor for anti-sub bar mount (the floor in the C6 is balsa core sandwich and would have required a lot of heavy backing plates to safely mount an anti-sub bar). I ended up ordering TeamTech "Jet Pilot" harnesses. They have all the approvals of other types of harnesses and are quite comfortable, and safe. Just a bit different to get used to. It would take some research to find out if Team Tech could be properly fitted to a Huracan but I assume they could help direct you to sources for the required hardware. I used a product called a "Hardbar" that was made for the purpose specifically for the C6 but maybe there is an equivalent for Huracan. Best of luck!

Luv the Gulf but in this case I would have changed caliper color to black to avoid clashing with blue/orange. Any other color would distract and interrupt the lines
  18. What is the exterior color? In the profile shot it looks like Balloon White but in some of the other pics - hard to tell. Either way -gorgeous!!
  19. Hi customryder1 In case you don’t know (since you have 7 posts and are relatively new here): Glen (AMH) is highly regarded in this community. I bought several parts from him over the years and it was always exactly as described/expected with very fair pricing. His customer service is excellent and I don’t hesitate to recommend him.
  20. Truly spectacular and worthy of a wall poster!
  21. I’m thankful for a lot, including the amazing community here at LP! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
  22. Fascinating discussion. Can’t wait to hear if the tiny drilled hole solves the problem. Back in the late ‘70’s I took hubby’s (then boyfriend’s) 1978 silver anniversary C0rv3tt3 for a “spirited” solo drive. It had the L82, close ratio 4 speed. Not a great performance car but back in the day it was fun. A minute after I parked in the driveway -as he walked up to the car - all four center caps popped off as though they were exhausted and could no longer hold on. He just smiled. Now I”m wondering if it was related to the discussion above, or just poor GM design and quality....
  23. Congrats and enjoy for many miles in the best of health! It wears the Grigio Lynx PERFECTLY! Especially with red calipers! Luv this color combo!!!
