  1. Is that a Drogue in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?
  2. Time to pick one up or an NSX. All of these mid-90s supercars will just skyrocket in price. There is no place but up... I love the 355, NSX, Viper GTS, 993 (too late there), Diablo.
  3. Is this the time to pickup a few AR lowers (stripped even)? I'm hoping (as the evil SOB that I am) that next year with the election coming will drive prices up again...
  4. That red stripe really sets off the car. Beautiful!
  5. There was a member on here who did his own oil changes (Redline?) on his Enzo. Oil is an interesting topic. Manufacturers are getting higher and higher on intervals - and I just don't believe them at all. There is NO way a high performance motor can go 7, 10, 15k miles between changes. Lots of BS out there also. Buddy had a late 2000s 330 and had his oil changed AT THE DEALER and they did an "engine scope" every single oil change... I know the M-cars need valve adjustments which lends to higher costs, but there is still a lot of crap they try and peddle.
  6. If you consider what it cost VAG to build a Veyron (estimated they lose anywhere from 2-6MM USD per car) it really puts things into perspective. I'm curious as to where they will be valued in 5-10 years, especially an early "run of the mill" example. In other news, the McLaren F1 is climbing in price and the bottom is now about 9MM USD (citing Peloton25). McLaren lost money on their cars because demand just wasn't there during production. And now it is looking like it will be the next 250 GTO.
  7. Some of the reserve prices are on crack...
  8. It's like looking at super yachts or jet powered aircraft. Operating costs begin to get just exponentially large. But then you have to take into account all that it is doing and is expected to do and THEN ask the plane to do all this without fail... On aircraft there is a reason they go by "per flight hour" and not necessarily by how fast you are going. Component failure can happen at low or high speed and goes not by the mood you are in or how fast you are going but time spent on those components. There is a reason you can pickup an old 60s MiG 21 for dirt cheap (60-70k). They burn through fuel and the maintenance (and parts) will make you grey-haired and woman-less.
  9. It's a pre-production or factory car. Those get followed all the time and often in a much more reckless nature. Nothing wrong with taking shots or videos. Remember, "there is no such thing as bad publicity." That being said - 45 minutes might be too long to follow anyone... And, stopping on the side of the road to chat with the guy when he's obviously pissed and has an Audi following him - not a good idea. The world's a dangerous place man, and otherwise rational people can do some pretty stupid things when it comes to road rage stuff.
  10. I had to Google this guy. Mind-blowing. I'm now deep in a Wikipedia spiral.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adnan_Khashoggi
  11. THAT really is the problem with big planes. Also, if you are extremely high profile - you wouldn't want to announce your arrival everywhere with something that only a few airlines fly. A G650 will blend in nicely and is still a ridiculously nice plane.
  12. I would add a few more parking spaces and change the prayer mat to face whatever direction Miranda Kerr's ass is facing at that moment.
  13. A Fett movie would be awesome. He's my favorite character by far. I'm one of the hardcore original diehards. When Lucas "remade" the originals, touched them up and added in things (as well as cutting out essentially historic music pieces) I wanted to riot. The prequels were completely made to be targeted towards kids and really fell short (this really isn't a debate). Anyone remember this?
  14. Can I get mine changed BACK to TheAmericanStig ? Tanks a lot.
  15. Glock 19. Mid-size, great durability, proven track record of reliability, 9mm and lots of rounds. It's the kind of gun you can throw anywhere and not worry about it. If you want a mechanical safety lever, I would go with something like a used HK. The thing is, if you're throwing it in a bag, keep it in a secure holster and do not have one in the chamber. Used G19's aren't too bad, if you can find one. I'm not sure of current prices but they have been so inflated lately I just laugh at guys selling these.
  16. That thing is fcuking hot. Do you have a permit for that?!
  17. Congrats Jason! It looks like a killer ride and I'm sure compliments the CT perfectly.
  18. Meanwhile no one has reviewed a ThethetheFerrari and Maranello is dead quiet...
