  1. No doubt and I would probably feel the same. Unfortunately, it's the "rational" part that's broken that I believe* doesn't allow for such cognitive recognition. Sorry for your friend. Just horrible.
  2. This simply is not a cut and dry topic of selfish vs. mental illness. I'd wager that some who commit suicide may have a quick moment of everything and everyone sucks, but clearly many are plagued by a genuine mental illness, such as depression, chemical imbalance/ bi-polar. If you've ever witnessed a person who is bi-polar and not medicated, it is something to behold. Having worked in a hospital while in college, it became apparent to me that my feelings of a person being selfish were often misguided. Some are simply genuinely suffering from a disease that prevents any form of what you or I would consider rational. There is no "oh, but my children, or wife, or husband, or tomorrow the sun will come out". It just doesn't work in such a manner for the sick. **I'm no doctor or health care provider, simply an hourly job way back when paying my way through college.**
  3. I don't care for sci-fi or Star Wars, but kids. With that said, best one of the whole franchise. I actually really enjoyed this one!
  4. Just "wow!" Congrats on the trio. Sooo...curious about the 962.

Ok, initially i believed it to be vile, however, in bluuuuuue...not bad. Starting to warm up to it a bit. Could we see a turning of the tide just as when a new lambo is first announced?
  6. I'm at a loss and find it odd the lambo commentariat are seemingly so be-smitten. It looks like a video game character and, while I suppose somewhat shocking, I can not find beauty in its design, rather only pleasure that it was constructed versus merely a rendering. There a few elements, if approached with restraint, which may benefit future production models, but in general, just a bizarre mash up of design found in any myriad of automobile / industrial futurists renderings. It's bad Daniel Simon. More importantly, the forum members have resoundingly embraced an electric Lambo if striking design wise. Interesting.
  7. 2 dirt bags. One who committed this heinous act. One who walks around and records people dead in the street and then loads to youtube. Way to jump in and lend a hand.
  8. Guys, Roman is Chuck Norris's tougher and better educated black ops brother, Buck Norris. He's the only dude Chuck fears. Google him? You won't find him. He's that good. Sorry Buck, felt everyone should know.
  9. Ok, been traveling and just waded through a few of these posts. Roman, does it not sound like the additional simultaneous shots are being fired from a completely different location, more precisely, much much closer (not adjoining room)? Needless to say, sound has a tendency to travel in a deceptive pattern given what it bounces on/off, but, the other sound seems to be almost ground level... or, maybe is a considerably louder load(?). No way is this guy firing two at one time in that cadence with any semblance of targeting. The original ridiculously quick police / swat response coupled with the shifting time lines / story lines is admittedly somewhat bizarre only to be compounded by lack of video in what is most likely the most surveilled place on earth. Tin foil remains safely stowed in drawer, not on hat.
  10. Caddy has had some fabulous concept cars. The ceil, elmiraj, and most recently the escala. The escala is the center piece of cadillac print and tv ads in an attempt to drive showroom traffic. Imagine the confusion when buyers show up to only be told "uh yeah, that's a beautiful car, but, well, uhm, we don't actually build that car". Shame. Great original designs that are what a cadillac should be.
  11. Have to disagree here. S.H. wanted everyone to know he had weapons of mass destruction. He admitted to as much. The agent who befriend him here, once captured and on U.S. soil, was quite candid in regards to this. Simply put, he wanted Iran to fear him. And lets not forget, he gassed the Kurds (weapon of mass destruction), amongst other atrocities. I can't say what Iraq would look like today had we actually stayed versus simply leaving once W was out of office, but believe the region may had been in better shape. Unfortunately, the intertwined religions and cultures seem to, from a layperson's viewpoint, be a massive ball of tangled twine and not sure they themselves, let alone a foreign force, will ever be able to untangle and find harmony. The bottom line, mad men run certain countries and these men have in the past, and will again, act in deplorable ways. The question always goes back to, are we as a country OK with the extermination of a people? Are allies OK with such? I don't think so. Rock and a hard place.
  12. Rather surprised by the aforementioned comments. Agreed, we have a horrid middle east track record and Trump has undermined himself in the trust department. And no, I don't particularly want to put out every global hotspot. However, gassing people has been a long standing no-no. Has there been a Syrian policy pivot? You bet. Gassing persons/children has a way of doing just that. Further, I think there is much more at play here than simply Syria, including a response to Russia's pushing further outside it's borders. in regards to influence, land, resources, etc. I don't think this is about repairing Syria as that can most likely only come if the country is split in half, and I'm sure there is a resource at play here, beyond Russia bases. History is a scratched record, every now and then you gotta lift the needle. *disclaimer: no middle east scholar!! Never vacationed in Syria and currently have no plans as such.
  13. I thought he died years ago.
  14. Privacy died with the internet and mobile phones. And the camera in your ceiling. I see you looking at it. Stop. Stop, looking at it.
  15. It's the equivalent to a red supreme L.V. bag, therefore, I oddly find it appropriate.
  16. (EDIT): I stand corrected. http://armedforcesjournal.com/fiasco/ Good heavens thats a black hole of information. Be warned, good people, read and come out on the other end with a better understanding of varying conflicts, especially Syria. Fantastic link.
  17. yes. tax payers. and wage earners who contribute(d) to social security and have put $$$$ in the lock box. but.... not sure if I'm allowed to go any further than my succinct "yes" and "tax payers"..
  18. No matter the winner, we're losing. Feeling queazy. Bar Keep, 'nother please.
  19. Roman could tell you...but then, well.
  20. Rape, Machete Attacks, Death and Destruction, The End Times, Tin Hat Tom Foolery, Governmental cover-ups, a country that may enact sweeping refugee reform, a lack of shaving apparatuses in greece, and apparently a swinging good time opportunity or 45 you may have missed in Italy, assuming you were a proper plumber. Oh, and maybe racism w/ a dab of xenophobia, dependent on one's perspective, I suppose.
  21. And then there is the following; http://www.denverpost.com/2016/07/12/germa...under-reported/ It's worth a quick read. Staggering numbers. Did not know that attackers nationality are by German "press codex" not allowed to be identified. HOWEVER, they are identified as "refugees" and/or "foreign nationals". Nice attempted cover up by officials. Roman, I found the photo to be a bit "odd", as well, and thought maybe I had a screw loose. The sign written in English is certainly a bizarre twist.
  22. I hope as these groups continue to kill indiscriminately and, as a result, kill muslims (muslims were killed last night), non radicalized muslims will heed the call to turn on the extremist w/n their communities. Human intel is imperative. No way does an army just happenstance kill the bastard that committed the atrocity which occurred last night, unless he happened to be attending/from a camp or base. Don't get me wrong, military action is required and a piece of the puzzle. All in all, it just flat at sucks, and, unfortunately, requires vigilance and a great deal of action, locally, federally, militarily, and within communities who refuse assimilate. If you move to a country and do not assimilate, why are you there?
