  1. I like it. Classy. It seems to lean more towards a classy "sports" car, ala, 911.
  2. For the first time ever, Mansory's kit will be a nip and tuck. The Mansory LP770 Non Superfluous.

    RIP Glenn Frey

Just Damn. Made sure my kid's first concert was a worthy one, the eagles, baby. And they killed it. Damn, damn, damn.
  4. You win! Slip away would have landed triple bonus points, however. So, I actually saw Dr C.C. live located in a south georgia-swamp-wooden -floored -roller rink that may have doubled as a snake handle'n church on Sundays,(if you're not from the south, you may never have heard of such a thing) and it is was a really old place when I was but a freshman in college. Anyway, as one may imagine, it was a BYOB affair. Dr. C.C. preformed 3 songs, took an hour long intermission of which one of my friends disappeared. During his, well, what seemed like an extended sabbatical, his roadie sold "Dr C.C." sold panties from a suitcase. I should've bought a pair or three (regrets). He returns to sing the exact same 3 songs from earlier. Turns out, he and my friend, who knocked on his winnabego door, had been drinking together quite heavily during intermission. My friend was a very large fellow and I think did him in. For the curious, they did not offer refunds. And this a somewhat sanitized version of the events from that evening.
  5. RIP. The man is an icon, a game changer, and a talent by many of a measure. Fascinating MTV interview which is indicative of how for far down the road he could actually see. And, the civil pointedness with which Bowie conducts himself is refreshing. I'm in my early 40s, so to hear Mark Goodman pan Princes's appeal to white audiences is a reminder of the narrowness that MTV had been in its infancy and when I was a kid. I understand it was genre push, but it seems dark ages now, to think that such medium would only find success in a narrow scope of musical appeal. Perhaps the strangest is that a 36 year Lp-er old could not picture who david bowie was due to no rap collaboration!! I think we need a icon thread that allows some to see if they recognize lesser musical talents than they maybe familiar with today..like Jagger, Armstrong, any one of the traveling wilburys, maybe some motown, a beatle, a king, a Seattle fellow or two, and Clarence Carter for the lightning bonus round. I love music, all types, and find myself bouncing from Country, to NWA, to Rock, to Buffet. I may have a split personality disorder!!

    2015+ Escalades

Thanks for the link. I'd need the long body. I just can't stomach buying a 2015 of anything, much less a GM product, w/o a massive discount at this point in the year.

    2015+ Escalades

Can someone give an idea of what invoice $. Its on the short list of vehicles that must be purchased by year end. QX80, z71 suburban or yukon xl, maybe a RR but it's at the very bottom of the list. RR sport is just to small and nowhere near as nice as our X5 v8.
  8. Bridge of Spies. Review: Go see it.
  9. Disappointed. It was odd... maturing bond, darker bond, cold killer bond (which I like).... yet intertwined w/ same old bond schtick; bond still shag'n every hot chick, requisite dubious car chase. I feel like the series could have really evolved w/ daniel craig.
  10. Trump approves of the last couple. Love the modern ones.
  11. When I read power wall I was thinking "FINALLY there is a power partition to keep tranquility upfront and kids' mayhem in the back!" Awesome that you're getting some serious goodies at no cost to you!
  12. My absolute favorite wheel of all time!!! BBS TURBO FAN FTW. Back in the IMSA days, a fellow at Road Atlanta had a full tilt street legal Moby Dick -esque Porsche w/ those wheels. Ridiculous.

    Batman RIP

Sad. The man found a passion in helping brighten the days deathly ill cancer stricken children and pursued the passion with vigor. RIP.
  14. Now that's a wide wheel to be saw'n! I thought he may just get bit around the 2:20-2:25 mark.

    Flight 9525

What the f*ck is wrong people. Man, if anyone ever needed proof of the devil, these evil bastards are good starting point. Similar circumstances (crazy pilot) for the doomed flight that was never found???? I find it odd that the pilots names have not been released as there must be many folks, family, friends, co-workers, that know exactly who the co-pilot was for that specific flight. This murdering bastard has me super pissed. PSA FOR AIRLINES & OTHER INDUSTRIES : Folks, if you know of someone unstable in your work place that has other lives in their hands, speak up, please.
  16. Maybe pointing out the obvious after looking at the above comparison photo, but thinking a carbon fiber wrap in the shape of the P1's side scallop would like pretty sharp...and from the side, make it damn near an identical twin!
  17. When all else fails, state of union will focus on further "taxing the rich" and closing "loop holes". It's a yet another ruse to divide the country and give the democrats something of which than can all agree. Fortunately, it'll go no where. This guy. Geeeeeze.
  18. No spy shots of the gt, gt350r, raptor replacement, and whatever else they have up there sleeve thus far. Color this shock and awe. I'm a little curious to see if Chevy unveils the Zora concept early just to screw w/ Ford. If you recall, Ford unveiled their truck concept at the same time Chevy introduced its new production truck, which was brilliant, and seemingly pissed off GM. Couple that w/ mule shots yesterday...hmmm. No matter what, best Detroit show ever is only a few days away!
  19. Gentleman, if I may interject.... http://www.caranddriver.com/news/exclusive...rst-photos-news Goodness great between this and the forthcoming Ford GT....wow. And, an obligatory, "murica!".
  20. I made it to the 2 minute mark, what do I win??
  21. By that measure, one could say the same of the F-150, or Suburban, or, anything. My point is, and obviously an opinion, I just don't believe that Ford will base it's number @ 400k b/c of a heritage GT w/ a few miles selling for, what, $300k. I know those cars have gone through the roof, and for good reason. It's a purist, gorgeous, analog car, and one of the last to be so. Further, persons more knowledgeable than I, claim a staggering percentage of the GTs have been totaled (half?). And, it could be introduced tomorrow exactly as it was 10 years ago and sell. Scuttlebutt is Ford wants to go racing. I believe / hope that to be the case. Homologation requires a relatively small number. They have the $$$$ to do so. But, beyond the hard core racing fans, or enthusiasts, what does a win, if it were to occur, yield in return? It is fantastic marketing fodder (for a few months), and would excite the hell out of me, but for Ford, what does it do? They are not "re-branding" as did Audi through a decade of racing. I think it is only a success if you have a car directly linked to the win that is sellable. And 500, well, that number is so small it bores even me. Again, I think you need a car that is built in enough numbers so when you occasionally see one on the street, it will illicit a response. I'm not arguing with you, CHADW, and I may be soooo wrong. I'm looking at it as if I were the decision maker at Ford. Foot down, a 5k minimum production, compete on the floor just above the Plastic mess-06- viper, and kick Ferraris ass in design, desirability, and at a fraction of $. Poster on wall levels of want! Oh, and, have a successor a few years down the road. Time will tell.
  22. I've been re-routed flying coast to coast, w/ a serious zig zag. And, I've had an unscheduled lay-over, about 2 hours, as a storm in the arrival city passed. I'm no pilot, but why in the world would this flight not have been cancelled ?? Very, very sad.
