Yes, its a second part, and here tre press:

"Lamborghini’s Manifesto for future supersportscars

“Lamborghini stands for extreme and uncompromising supersportscars of the

best Italian tradition.

Tradition as a value however, lives at Lamborghini alongside innovation.

We are redefining the future of our supersportscars around the two main reasons

to buy: design and performance.

Design has been and always will be reason number one, and we will make sure a

Lamborghini will always be recognizable through its significant stylistic features.

Regarding performance, until few years ago priorities were, in this order: top

speed, acceleration and handling.

In recent years this has been changing. Together with design, handling and

acceleration are becoming more important. Speed is not as important anymore,

because all supersportscars are exceeding 300km/h (186 mph) and this is a speed

that you cannot reach even on a racetrack, let alone normal roads. We think it is

time to make a shift and talk more about handling and acceleration.

The key factor in terms of better handling and acceleration, meaning more

immediate pleasure in driving, is the power-to-weight ratio. This is not so much

about top speed and so the future will not be so focused on increasing the power,

even because CO2 emissions do play a role for supersportscars too. That means

the key is in reducing the weight.

A crucial part of this is to understand how to reduce the weight. From the middle

of the Eighties, the average weight of our cars has increased by 500 kg because of

active and passive safety, comfort and emissions reduction issues, and this is

something that we have to change. Since we cannot reduce safety or comfort in

our cars, we have to reduce the weight by using new materials.

The magic word for this is “carbon fiber”. We started working with carbon fiber in

Sant’#### Bolognese over thirty years ago and today, with our two laboratories

in Sant’#### Bolognese and in Seattle, We are mastering a broad range of

technologies which put us in a leadership position for low-volume production.

Every new Lamborghini will make the best use of carbon fiber to reduce weight.”

Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini SpA

Sant’#### Bolognese, 14th September 2010"

10 holes doesn't automatically mean 10 cylinders.

Agreed, but definitely think its the engine cover. Strange though they would pick ten.

pretty sure the r8 has something like 26 holes, are you saying its not a v26?

i dont like the holes, but i do like the arches right in front of them on either side

edit: which almost look like the tops of air intakes

Item? As in it might not be a car?

Bearing in mind that this will be a concept car shown at Paris, it may not even have a rolling chassis. I expect it to look nothing like the Murcielago replacement that has been seen in disguise on German roads recently.

Um . . . what on earth is the point of showing a V12 supercar concept a few short months before you're going to reveal an all-new actual V12 supercar? If the concept is super-cool and cutting-edge and people are psyched about it, but the actual Murcie replacement revealed a few months later looks nothing like it -- or even worse, looks like a watered-down version of it -- then people are going to be very disappointed with the Murcie replacement. And the concept showing would would be taking some of the surprise out of the reveal of the actual car (if they're at all stylistically related).

I see no good coming from this strategy.

Stupid. Show something really radical and immediately release something relatively boring. I'd say a year before or a year after would be better timing.

looking at the wipers and how similar it is to a gallardo.. could this be a show car derived from Gallardo?

It's looking like this might be some sort of "super Gallardo" with the similar wipers and the engine cover's 10 vents.

I hate teasers..this is getting annoying now..what's up with all the teaser crap..you either show it or you don't!

I agree; this new auto industry gimmick is annoying. :icon_thumleft:

BTW, Has anyone ever considered that the "wiper" in the first teaser pic might be a rear wiper on this concept ?

What Roy and others are saying, though seemingly crazy on Lambo's part, is looking more and more true with the release of the second teaser.

They really look like they're going to show some nutty batmobile pure concept, with massive CF throughout, brag about the weight and emission reductions of this concept, and then follow it up just a FEW WEEKS LATER with private showings of the actual Murcie-replacement, which apparantly has nothing to do with this concept at all.

Giant waste of time, it would be like agonizing and dissecting some preview teaser shots before he still-born Miura concept arrived at a show.

They SHOULD have teased us with the design of the Murcie replacement, simply to build buzz, hype, and desire. Instead it looks like it's just going to be dropped on us at Geneva, if it remains hidden that long (again, private showings in a few weeks, Geneva isn't for months), as they did with the LP560.

Madness.

If it is a super Gallardo concept ...... then these management guys are just too much! They make a claimed ultimate (560) Gallardo (the Balboni), then trump it with the 570 Superleggera , then throw down yet another iteration: a super Gallardo ?? That would be following the same unsuccessful strategy they have used since this model was introduced in 2004. :eusa_naughty:
