Meatpacking District NYC to Bear Mountain - DRIVE PHOTOS

Organized a drive from NYC up to Bear Mountain last Sunday... put the word out on Friday and had a decent turnout even though it was cloudy and eventually rained. It was such a pleasure to see a Veyron and F50 being pushed HARD... I have some video footage, will have to find time to edit, but here are some photos I managed to take.

Some came out great, others so-so, some I ruined in post... as usual... :lol2:

F50 gets hot as fcuk in the cabin when driving for long periods, even with the top off. Combine that with NYC humidity I don't really blame the guy...

The first year of the Italian Stampede a guy and his gf and her lap dog drove through the Valley with the top off. It was 105* we took the dog in the support truck (with A/C) because the damn thing was toast. I can only imagine how bad it was in that car that day.

It does have AC, but it's a joke... Gets really hot in that car...

Thanks, guys!

The F50 is way too intense a car in general to go on long drives even if the weather is nice.

The owner of the car is currently using it as his DD.

Nice to see someone actually using their hyper Ferrari rather than letting them collect dust in a garage.

I agree with that philosophy.

While I'm initially surprised to see this car as a DD, it's still believable. A lot of this "too intense" talk is overrated as most car guys aren't too hardcore, I hate to say. Naturally my comments are repeated hearsay as I've never driven the car.

Only concern I'd ever have if I was given such a luxury to choose is that I'd be worried I'd ruin the car's enjoyment factor driving it that much (and that goes for just about any exotic).

Did Ray go against the veyron at all? Nice pics as always Hovik!

They went at it for a while, the highways are too curvy for the speeds those cars can get up to... :icon_mrgreen:
