Got an invite from Lambo of Vancouver to see the new Bugatti this evening. The car is unreal in person.

I was told this is the only viewing for the Chiron in Canada and the dealership has purchased a Chiron which is expected to be delivered end of 2017.

The car is absolutely stunning. Just looking at it and you can tell that it's in a league of its own. The craftsmanship. The attention to detail. The quality. One of a kind. Bugatti as really stepped it up.

Totally agree; the craftsmanship on the new Bugatti is beyond words. I also had a chance to sit inside the car and I was blown away with the interior quality.

How does the back look in real life, in photos, to me looks weird?

I'm not a fan, it looks odd in real life and almost looks like it was a afterthought especially when the front of the car is so menacing.

To be honest that's what's ruining the car for me along with a Audi A4 steering wheel LOL the rest looks insane but I will reserve final judgment until I see it in real life.

You have to see it in the flesh for it all to make sense...the back is unconventional but at the same time I feel t suits the car well. And the craftsmanship is knocked up to Pagani-ish levels. I was shocked by the interior space; I am 6'6" and could sit in in fine. In fact, I could hav put the seat back a few inches. You also have to hear it fired up: it's loud and mean.

Here's some pics from another Chiron I got up close and personal with:

Was thinking the same about back. sides and front look menacing, but rear looks very Audi and a just a boxy

Well I think the back end works now but when photographed in bad light with potato, it looks very flat. But now in these details it looks way better because you can see the third dimension.

BTW looks like 2010's have very distinct way with every super car. That how the rear end eats front part of the car. Every car now has these sides that swipe under the rear clam. Ferrari started with flying buttresses and now we have these gaping tunnels in every car, Ford GT ofcourse most extreme of them all.

That's another example of don't comment unless you've seen it in real life!

TurboGallardo has in his sig he has one on order. I am a fan except the rear, prob looks better in person though. It will be a beast for sure.

I guess since it's nearly fall, Toronto doesn't have a market for one at the moment (although that doesn't really make sense to me)

Love the exterior combo Supercar Ace posted.

:icon_thumleft: I won't name names until things get confirmed. If I had the cash I'd get one...I saw it next to a Gen 1 Veyron and they are complete worlds apart. The Veyron looks like Fred Flintstone's car next to the Chiron.

The rear is fine. Like most modern cars, it just doesn't photograph well. It may seem unresolved based on initial looks; but after factoring in the aerodynamics and thermal dissipation requirements, there really isn't much of a choice but to look the way it currently is, at least within time being. Looking at it from different angles would make the rear more attractive. Regrets for the sub-par quality pics.

The car is magnificent, but for that amount of money I am a Pagani guy. I prefer the art of Paganis over the crazy performance at Bugatti.

Different strokes I guess. :) I had a chance to drive a Huayra very recently. It's suppose to be Horatio's own test-bed car so it has the latest aero-kit, hardware and software. It's a stunningly beautiful car but I have reservations. It's an Art Deco car and that's its pro and its con. On static display, the car has very little competition, if at all. It's full of trinkets and every surface had been massaged to show off its best. It honestly reminded me of the original Captain Nemo's Nautilus. Everything is stylized to the max. But when on the road and one is driving above 80kph/50mph, all those fancy glitter becomes a liability. The gauges are too small and cluttered to read; the switches becomes clunky and cumbersome. One really has to know which switch does what by instinct (there are plenty of them) and by that I mean like blindfolded instinct as there is simply no time to look at a bewildered panel. I love the Art Deco element (and yes, it has the famous Italian Sonus Faber speakers too along with Apple Carplay), but encapsulating myself in an artsy rather than a functional driving environment while rolling down the road fast, that isn't my cup of tea. Moreover, it seems fragile. Granted that this car has 35k kms on it and had likely been taken apart and put back together dozens of times, it still seems sub-par with all the rattling and creaking noises. It's nice but it's not over-2M-Euro nice.

The Chiron has a completely different design philosophy. All the switches had been minimized. Functionality is the key. I admit that I would not call the cabin a piece of art, but it is certainly classy and oozes opulence. The Huayra is a great conversational piece and looks fabulous while parked. But on the road going at triple-digit speed, my choice goes to the Chiron. To be fair, I have not test-driven a Chiron; but I have driven 3 different Veyrons and the Chiron can only be better. One needs not to worry about burning the clutch; the doors shut with an authoritative thump; and its free from any creaking and rattling. It is certainly engineered to be a DD. But activate the next stage via the power key and holy smokes, the true potential is unleashed. I don't want to use the word "beast" as despite the surge in power, it remains civilized and so easily manageable. It still drives like a sophisticated, classy and refined car; just that you now have 1000+ hp at your disposal. The steering wheel, in all honesty, isn't special enough and is not that different from the Gallardo's or the Audi's. But look closely, the Chiron wheel and the Huayra wheel aren't too different from each other either. Anyway, to each its own I suppose. But if I ever have the fortune to acquire cars at this level, I will surely choose the Chiron over the Huayra.

**Shouldn't this be in the Ultimate Supercars section?

Thank you for the feedback VCR, to me Huayra is kitcarish the Chiron is the big daddy, the real deal.

I Like Pagani but IMO he's building the wrong cars, he overstylizes them, I would like to see him build a bare bones, minimalist, superlight, carbon hypercar car with no frills and trinkets.

I believe he's the only one in the world who can do it, he's showing glimpses of genius in his works but for me he isn't there yet. I'd love to walk in and tell him exactly what to build me but I am sure he wouldn't :icon_mrgreen:
