I think any news that is slanted in either direction is fake news. News should be fact. What we have now is fact plus agenda.

We need to unite. Everyone needs to lose a little for us to all gain.

Some seem to think that's socialism.. I think it's just coexistence.

C'mon now. Dont play the index game. Not with Obama taking office with Dow 7k and leaving at 19k.

Cheers to this..

First thing you've written I agree with. Journalism and reporting is supposed to be the facts and the person reporting just a vessel to allow us to hear it. Somewhere along the way these journalist and reporters thought that we should start carrying what they think about it as well.

Cheers to this..

And with that, you just said something very powerful. Either A, you have completely zero understanding of what they did and how the economy works. Or B, you're completely fine with a socialist government.

Ill leave you to explain which one.

Journalism is dead. I can't think of anyone that really hides their own beliefs like they used to. Its pretty sad when you need to fact check any juicy stories and then fact check the fact checkers. That is why most people watch personalities that confirm their own views. Many of us junkies go across the spectrum to see what the other side is doing but most casual news watchers stick with channels that spew their own thoughts and parrot the talking points to their facebook friends.

Riiiiiiight.

Because hes the one driving the market, and not the anticipated tax cuts/infrastructure spending.

Lol, and you are giving Obama the credit for this? Hahahahahahahahahaha

Is this the same moron that gave us cash for clunkers? What a certified idiot! Did he have a clue? He sent millions of nice used

cars to the wrecking yard to have their motors destroyed. He ruined the used car market for the middle class and wasted billions

on a idea that has got to set a record for the biggest blithering dope of his kind.

Uggg.. I'm a glutton for punishment I guess...

So yes, while I love that we are finally able to see eye to eye on something- I must point out that I think (my feeling, which I am entitled to) is that your response is in alignment with much of how I feel about the world.

The media, like just about every company out there, has taken capitalism too far. It's all about a buck. It's about ratings and revenue- not about what they SHOULD be doing- which is: reporting facts about our goings on. This, as you can see= is very dangerous. It's dividing us, it's turning us against each other.

It's sad.

I think I'm going to get a LamboPower shirt made up with my new title...

You seem to be engaging in one of the great left-wing misconceptions, which is the confusion of society and government with being one and the same.

Co-existence does not mean we must all give up wealth to some government bureaucracy. It means people expend labor and resources to help one another. Family, community, church, charity, etc...are all ways people have long helped one another. For example, in early America when government was much more limited, if a new family moved into the town, the community often held what was called a community log raising effort. Basically the family would stay with another family while the community all came out and cut down trees and helped the new family build their home, so that they could then move in and begin contributing to the community.

Obviously a larger more complex society does need a form of government, and thus taxes to sustain it, and in modern times, we have to have a government that is pretty sizeable for things from necessary regulation to safety nets and national defense and so forth, but the idea that coexistence and people helping one another automatically means giving your wealth to some government bureaucracy is mistaken.

I get that- for sure. However, and this is the huge however, if you don't want "tax he rich" than those who control the wealth NEED to open their eyes and fully understand what is actually happening in the current system. It wouldn't have to be "tax the rich" if they could self correct.

I'll use my 90's example. My salary today, which many in my area would say is above average= is worth about $43k in 1995. That same year, with a high school education mind you, my mother made the same salary thatni currently make, nearly double what my current salary was worth in 1995 dollars.. Her then luxury minivan cost $22k, a pizza and 20 wings was $15. No cell bill, cable TV was $20. My mortgage is four times what hers was.

There is no longer a such thing as a good job and we have a lot of people who are going to turn from tax the rich- to eat the rich, and real soon.

Many here will pipe up about risk and reward. You're fooling yourselves. You're risking money. Money can be recovered, recouped. A worker is risking hours, YEARS of their lives to make YOU money. Show me how to recoup hours of my life and I'll sit down, shut up.

There is no other sensible point of view. I don't want high taxes. I don't want waste in government. I also don't want anyone to die because, like the media, which shouldn't be about profit first, reporting facts second, healthcare also should not be about profit first, saving lives second.

This world, our species= actually is disgusting. No worries, I'll walk my line, I'll continue to bring the average up for everyone else.. I've got big shoulders..

I'll respond to respectful responses.. save your precious minutes if your response is short of that..

I'm glad I could give you a laugh so early on a Sunday.

You'll see. Just wait. Just wait until a whole workforce decides that they have had enough and get up and walk out on an owner... and then the owner can't make his contracts, loses his ass.. could happen to any one of you... but it's too silly to consider...

Lmfao. You need good workers a lot more than good workers need you. you're only damn lucky that most good workers haven't realized that yet.

You actually haven't made me laugh you made me sad, I actually feel sorry for you because you are your own worst enemy, my "laugh" was sarcastic.

I think you should stop fantasizing about the zombie apocalypse and try to figure out how not to be so broke because once you have that figured out you'd stop God damn complaining about the price of pizza and you'd start enjoying a slice without counting pennies.

You'd be out on your ass if you lost your job, your boss will still be fine because he will either replace you with a machine or another worker, there is always some willing to work, I worked for free until I learned the ins and outs of the business which made me money, there are PLENTY of me out there willing to steal your lunch :icon_thumleft:

Let me ask this:

With all of these proposed/speculated tax cuts that benefit the wealthy, any US business owners plan on increasing pay for your people?

You don't have to answer..

Tax cuts are not some windfall of free money, it is just the govt "allowing" you to keep more of your own money. I am sure many will hire more people but raises should be based on merit, not your income. If your property taxes get lowered do you give that to charity?
