Aren't they still well over 250k?

Yes. They are floating in the super high 200's to the low 300's presently. Still a great car though. Another fun pickup would be a Ferrari F430 Scuderia. That car is special.

Top Gear: In eleven years at the company you’ve met a huge number of your customers, can you tell us what a typical Lamborghini owner is like?

Stephan Winkleman: It seems very superficial, but it’s really male. Usually, they’re all self-made men – ranging from those in the 20s right up to men in their 70s. They’re very proud of their product, and they have no fear to be seen in a car like this.

And when I speak to them, I feel that they buy into a world, not only into a product. So it’s also a lifestyle, an idea they see behind that. And they enjoy the car as something that is rewarding them for the hard work they’re doing, or a dream that came true after, say, saving for 20 years.

Manual LP640 with a story - there are a couple that would be in this range

or

675LT - I will confess that I have contemplated a couple even trade deals on these with my stick 640. The prospect of owning a McLaren the day it goes out of warranty genuinely terrifies me.

or

993 Turbo S - after the weak RM auction result last year ($220k), the dip in these might let you grab one for that and it will go back up.

Honorable mention - special color Z8, near perfect Ford GT, PTS 997 GT2, 30k mile 16M. I also saw a 512M recently in that range which would be tough to say no to from an investment perspective.

Great post! Lots of amazing choices right there. I would be tempted for the 16M or GT I think.

What about an Alfa Romeo 8C?

Good idea. There was also version of it, Touring Superleggera Disco Volante, new price 400000€ propably over million now if anyone is selling...which drops me to another oddball: Spyker C8.

But I really like murdered out Ford GT (V8) with supercharger.

Damn! That is THE GT to have too. Absolutely perfect with the stripe delete, low miles, and one owner. What a killer price!

Im guessing the price is reflective of the accident to the drivers door and 1/4 panel...

It seems like there are several floating around with some damage that has been repaired. I guess the lack of extensive driver assist led to some bumps and bruises. And those cars and the high mileage ones seem to kick around the $250k range. While the pristine ones seem to sit in the $400ks, albeit unsold.

Seems like a good way to get at GT and be guilt free when you actually drive it and put miles on it. Lack of driver aids and a lot of torque definitely led to some bang ups with GTs.

That isnt even a coin flip. FGT 110% black, no stripes, remove the bumper, black wheels, and it's pure fcuking evil!

Plus it's different from everything you have. With a CGT, LP670, 16M, and Perf, the Spec is pretty redundant and not doing a single thing better than what you have. The FGT will at least be different and exciting. An angry blown american V8 will do you some good. icon_super.gif

Yup makes sense....I’d love to pick one up!

Since I have multiple sports cars, I'll lean towards an Austin-Healy 100 and use the 55g's left over for some fun and add to my investment portfolio.

I always loved the older British roadsters. The Austins and the Morgan +4s have, always, been my faves.
