  1. For me it is almost more tingling to know where the fat area is on the rpm range and when NA-engine that I have my self tuned starts to build up and really sing at higher echelon. Performance and enjoyment are not neccessarily same thing. I find modern turbo machinery with programmed pops and bangs and with sound that comes from speakers to be really dull experiences. Are they really fast, yes they are? Can I use that very fast acceleration anywhere without very real risk of very heavy penalty, not really? Ofcourse they are still fun and had I the means I would only have supercars, old, new, electric, everything... But I dont feel missing out much not having them, after driving them for short period of time. You are absolutely right, according to WFD there are 70 million deaf people in the world.

    Home speakers

    That Pioneer is a home theater amplifier, and especially current cheaper ones can have really thin and powerless sound. I would sell it away. Your speakers are past their prime and soon totally dead. But you can sell them in "as is" condition to someone who has more hifi background and wants to rebuild them as a hobby. I would suggest some notable size speakers, those Paradigm Audio Monitor 11's that Roman mentioned will have a good full range body to any music you listen, several other marks have similar. IF you want identical spec but in a bit more stylish package check Sonus Faber Venere S speakers. With either of those you might want a subwoofer if you want to really feel the lowest notes or want to listen loud in big livingroom. Pair them with good guality 2 channel integrated amplifier and you will be golden. If you spend 700-1500$ on an 2 channel integrated amp you will get a lot for your money and you will enjoy it for next 20-30years without any problems. Something like NAD C368 should work well, it has enough connections to cater to digital stuff and possible addition of sub, but leaves out other nonsense and has reputable real power to drive speakers. For speaker wire use basic ones that has at least 2x4mm2 area copper conductors. You can also spend a bit more if you want and buy some good value for money brand speakerwires. I personally can recommend ViaBlue SC-4: http://www.viablue.de/com/speaker_cables_s..._wire_t6s.shtml But dont buy into snakeoils and bullshit highend cables which hifi-segment is full of.
  3. Whole different world. Regera drives electric and slips torque converter until it reaches speed that turns engine at idle speed or over, then the electric motor will sidestep completely after higher speed and obviously creates max power where it is most needed, at redline. McLaren F1 has very small frontal area and quite clean design aero-vise, it's not Cd that kills topspeed it is CdA. But not saying anything that Tesla could or could not do. Interesting to see, thats all! And tesla looked to have quite clean design and small frontal too, impossible to say how it looks underneath.
  4. Yes that top speed is very guestionable. If this has gear box then it is possible still not easy. But without it seems very unbelievable. We need to see Hp/Nm curve of that motor and gear ratio to say more. 10000Nm sounds very optimistic too. Motor propably will have easily the "needed" horsepower amount, it just can sustain that to speeds where it is needed aka high rpm and high drag velocities. Model S needs 200hp to reach 200kmh, so it would need 800hp to reach 400kmh, If aerodynamics are as low drag as big sedan but they never are, bigger engine needs more vents for cooling and more aero for high speeds so there is drag penalty. I would say it needs to have at least 1000hp to get to 400kmh. And it wont help even if it had 2000hp earlier in the rpm range if it cant sustain enough of it up top. Closest I found. retardation of acceleration will be very hard after that HP-peak starts to go down.

  8. If I ever get released by my gf to be free and wild once again, I am going to be at least as awkward as this guy. Most propably more. But my hand writing is horrible. So maybe I would rather carry a huge typewriter into a bar in my enormous 90's neon and leather pouch type waist bag and go sit into opposing table, and type loudly cliketiclak while simultaniusly staring intensely at the unknown girl a bit of drool running down my beard. And then I would go and drop this piece of mystical papyrus stained in aged cum and cheap EDT to the girl's hands. Repeat same next day and till infinity. Occasionally dropping to unknown girls table and giving a bit of serenade with harmonica and my lovely high pitched voice. But hey I am a Ö-list DJ so it might be okay.
  9. Might be good idea to make both other fully electric and another fully petrol V12, then people can choose and test same car back to back with different drivetrain and vote with their wallet. And dont even try to emulate engine sounds in battery powered and vice versa in petrol version. Make both to play with their strenghts. Some might even buy both versions.

I dont think that lightweight is possible even with full carbon unibody but anything less than 1500kg will feel super light in that size car and engine even sub 1600 would be pretty good especially with ALA and all wheel steering. Even with my humble design I have dropped weight in many cases 1/10 or 1/9 from original with carbon and carbon sandwitch core stuff. But they are already quite light in that matter because I think about fifth of the car is already carbon and rest is aluminium. But carbon is not suitable for everything, engine still needs to be alloy and interior needs some cushions etc...

  15. I am on the verge with mods, dont put too much of the yellow on the car. On other hand original wheel color is bad with yellow, would be much better if they were black from factory.

And you have very bad racial problem if he got away simply because he was black and owner was scared for angry mob if he keeped the guy until police arrived. Does anyone know if Police did arrive or if the perpetrator was catched? To set the tone it would be good to make trial public and set heavy penalty of paying for new surfaces to the lambo and also work that needs to be done.
  18. True, it has no competitors. Well maybe 812 superfast but I dont know production what is price comparison there. 720S is smaller car too. If they did install Dual Clutch to Aventador that would add up to sales.
