  1. I must be missing something. Where are you guys seeing the prices?
  2. Gross. I mean really, how much more blatant could that be. It speaks a lot to the kind of person this guy must be. That said, it is the exotic car business in South Florida, so keeping the stereotype alive, well, I guess someone has to carry that torch.
  3. I heard from someone today that the people ran over were on a reunion trip.
  4. What are you thinking about? I am not sure what is special about the date. Just Halloween or something else?
  5. I have always wondered where it ended up. That is one of the most amazing cars ever. I remember when Alex got pulled over in front of me speeding through the Army base on the Giro the first year. It was everything they could do to keep him out of jail. I used to have pictures of the radar gun from the MP's car. The orange car is super special, I think there are only 3-4 US cars left (I think there were 5 originally in the US, but I know that one for sure got totalled, and possibly another one.) Enjoy that car in good heath man, you have a wonderful piece of history there.
  6. That's amazing. I guess a fool and his money are soon parted, but with that said the buyer wasn't the only bidder. Well sold for sure.
  7. Interesting guy that owns the house. He is very old now too. His Bugatti was owned by a member here a while back. He was a big car guy for a while, drove the shit out of everything he had.
  8. The "problem" with a demo car, and the reason they had to disclose it as such, isn't the mileage. It is the fact that they have to punch the warranty when they make it a demo. So if they have had the car for 3-6 months, you are out the warranty for that period. The mileage is the other part, but this car doesn't seem to have any according to the OP. The warranty would affect the negotiation, obviously. Hope you get it resolved.
  9. Maybe, but something doesn't feel groovy. I am assuming that the OP and the buyer bank at the same bank? I know you can do transfers at places like BoA and Wells, from account to account. Is the money already in your account? Sounds like it is going to season until Friday, so I would assume you are good to go. I usually do wires, but I have the pickup done at the banking institution, and when the banker tells me the money is there and that I am good, I let the car roll. If the money is actually in your account, you should be good. I don't think they can claw it back from there.
  10. I would keep what you have. The depreciation hit on the Performante is going to be strong in the first 12-18 months. Wait and save yourself the 50-80k ass whooping, and then pick one up without having to dump any cars. The cars you have don't have that much of a depreciation problem. The fact that you can pick up a Perf today at MSRP tells you everything you need to know. An amazing car by any measure, but it will be just as amazing a year from now.
  11. Yeah, I know, but It will always be Ultimate to me. You're right though, it is a Field's store now. A lot changed when Peter sold the place, kinda lost some of its soul.
  12. If the Huracan gets up to speed in 13 seconds, and we know it has the stoppers, I wonder how quickly the car could come down from that speed. It could literally decimate that record. As the driver just said, this is a street car with a full interior. Hell, I bet it even has a cup holder in the center console.
  13. Why not just call up Ultimate Motorworks and buy it direct from them?
  14. Kind of like A Bug's Life. I wonder how the people of Venezuela feel about not having their guns anymore, and being disarmed by their government in the name of "the greater good". I wonder how the people of Mexico feel being unarmed, and at the mercy of a corrupt government, and the government that is the cartels? The Japanese never invaded our country's mainland because they knew that a "rifle was behind every blade of grass". Just like a nuke, it is a deterrent. It keeps honest (or less than honest) people honest. It is also the great equalizer. I love the mention of a nuke, as the nuke has been around for 75+ years and we have yet to use another one. We certainly wouldn't use it against our own people, nor could we. I am tired of comparing our country to other countries. Other countries are great for what they are, as are we great for what we are. Part of what we are is in fact the 2nd amendment. I understand that other countries have socialized medicine, no guns (or very limited guns), et al. I have no interest in this country becoming other countries. Be it acid attacks, nail bombs, car attacks, mass shooters, IED's, or this mornings knife attack that killed 33 and injured 60. If you want my opinion (even if you don't, here it comes) social media has been our biggest catalyst for the negative things happening today. The pen is mightier than the sword, and now the written word is mightier than all and broadcast with little to no filter.
  15. Bill, that is awesome man. Wow. Congrats on the new ride brother.
  16. I heard it was started from a fake site/profile. I hope that is true, because if not, its going to be war in the streets.
  17. Girlfriend living with him since January. Pics of her on her Facebook that show her in the ME at a few points. They found her casino ID with him in the room. Apparently they found the room so quickly because the smoke from the gun set off the rooms fire detector? I would have thought taht would flood the room with water setting off the sprinklers. They used a charge to enter the room but report says that he killed himself right before the breached the door. Sounded like a M249 to me, Roman. Honestly, it was like Afghanistan on the videos. Checked on a few friends and they are all safe, they were at the concert or had just left. Another friends husband is a cop there, he made it home safe. Two first responders (police) in the 50+ casualties. Honestly, I don't get it anymore. HOw do you have such a great delta between folks that are packing ships to send supplies to Puerto Rico, to an unhinged mass murderer shooting innocent people at a country western concert???
  18. Man, its perfect. I had a '74 Datsun 260Z, as well as a "78 280Z. I loved the carbureted car so much better. Glad you kept with the Z motor and the carb setup. Always nice to have a little more robust motor though, so I get the upgrades. I would love to have one just like this. I just recently started following a bunch of Z car stuff on Instagram, I am getting the itch again.
  19. If it could potentially be repealed, should it be there in the first place? I don't know enough about it to even be dangerous.
  20. I find it funny that people think he can't tweet and take care of other business simultaneously. I often wonder if people think it is so easy to just immediately put a hold on a huge policy. You have to review it, read what it says, see what the far reaching implications could be (even if it is short term like 30 days). We seem to think these things are so simple, and with the wave of a wand, poof, it is all fine and good and the wheels are turning. Aid is already there, more is coming, I've read there are boots on the ground. Can we do more, absolutely, without doubt, but it isn't like nothing was happening at all. Same was said with the Virgin Islands. People are just frothing at the mouth for the opportunity to fcuking nail the President on something, its starting to make me a little ill.
  21. Who took the jam outta your doughnut!
  22. Porsche is the mother ship, not VW anymore. They aren't going to let one of their brands beat them. I wasn't shocked when I saw this result, they want to have the crown back. I would personally love to own one of these, but I have always been a 911 fan.
