  1. How did you manage to get the car to sit so flush with the wheels? I'm told Mclaren frowns on this due to the unnecessary load it puts on the hydrolics?

  3. No valves. But you don't need it with this setup. Not one customer in the group buy had a bad thing to say about it. Eddie (Plastique999) can chime in.
  4. Congrats! Also check into the S-Line Exhaust set up. It amplifies the sound even more. Here's a clip of mine.
  5. I just bought a '16 Luxury AWD short wheelbase last month. Got 650 miles on it so far. Here's my take on it. We had the previous Escalade and appreciated the space. We had sold it because the previous model got broken into twice, with the second time having the Nav system ripped out and the wheels taken (car was sitting on crates when we saw it). It was a magnet for theft of the 3rd row seats as well. By comparison, the new Escalade is night and day difference in everyway. On the plus side the interior quality is superb. Design is nice and updated and everything you touch feels great. I haven't done a long road trip yet, but the seats fee plenty comfortable. Since we have the '16 we have the newer CUE system that also has Apple Car Play. Both of them work just fine. No complaints. The downside as far as I can tell at this point are, the ride quality and rear cargo. The ride is smooth for the most part until you hit a bump, or roll over one is a shopping center or the like. It does bounce the car around but for me it's a minor set back. For where I live, the roads are pretty smooth. I do find it funny that they actually have race suspension setup. I can't see myself ever using it. The last complaint I have is the cargo space. While it's nice that the 3rd row now fold flat, it raises the floor height, but also has it tilted. So your load floor is never truly flat. Not sure why Cadillac would allow it. But again, it hasn't proven to be a problem in our usage of the car. Since we also have a '14 RRover, I will say this. I prefer the Escalade over the Range. The only thing IMO that the Range wins in, is in it's ride quality. But in terms of price to features, the Escalade wins in every department. And also once you get used to having all that space in the Escalade, the Range just feels like a sardine can in comparison. Last tid bit if it helps. We got ours for $400 over invoice and a buddy got $1K under invoice for the '15. We went with a '16 due to a number of problems the '15s had. Go to the Cadillac forums and read up on the Escalades. There were some issues affecting the '15s. Not sure if you want to take the chance. Good luck with your decision.
  6. Eddie, Echoing everyone else. Congrats! Hit me up if you're ever back in town
  7. Congrats. Has the car been broken in yet? Once you go over 5K RPM you know you're in special territory. So how many of us on here have the GT3 now? Getting an aftermarket exhaust will also wake it up more. Here's mine:
  8. Kevin, Did you drive your blue roadster up the 405N on Sunday (yesterday) around....10:30am? If so then that was you I saw. Gorgeous car!
  9. No kidding? 2nd home owner in there as well. I love LLV and it has gone through a rough patch, but time has shown it will survive. It is definitely a beautiful community and personally every time I make it back there, it feels like a little area of paradise tucked away in the corner of the world. Not too far removed from society, but just far enough away from the craziness of the world. Yet like EyeDoc said, 20 mins away and you're right back in the smack of it. Excited to see what the Cadence project will bring. That right there is a huge development or so I heard.
  10. I'm a Lambo guy as well and will always have at least one variation of the brand in the fleet. Such is to say if you can have both, do it. If you can only have one....that's a torturous decision to have. Good luck.
  11. I'll take a stab at leaving a reply on this topic as I also own a Scud. No doubt the Scud won't win any drag races against today's offerings. But in its own right the Scud is still a wonderful machine. This is a car about feedback and senses, much like the current 991 GT3 is. You don't buy either car to drag race a Huracan or 650S. Instead this is a car that rewards you at the track or stick on an S-Line exhaust and go for a cruise. It will bring you back to the idea of what a drivers car is about about in its very essence. The gear box will give you satisfying feedback. There's a little "snap" as the gear engages giving you the mechanical sensation that a DCT may not. And it certainly isn't slow by any means. I have a Gallardo SL, GT3, and 997TT, and against these cars the Scud still holds its own. It has its own character and simply put that's what any prospective buyer will be getting. There's a lot of hype about the Scud lately and I don't think there's any false sense in it. As anyone would say, go test drive one to find out for yourself if it fits what you are looking for. It certainly doesn't hurt that its value will most likely appreciate from here on. But that aspect is a bonus compared to having a Scud and the experience it provides. No comment on how the Scud compares to a standard 430. I've never driven one but heard from everyone who has driven both that the differences are night and day. Also let me also thank Fiske for fucken convincing me that I need a 650S/12C. All those comparison videos will haunt my wallet.
  12. Technically I am not under Lemon Law. I should change the title. Whereas CA Lemon Law is dictated by 18 months of ownership from new, or 18K miles, I am over these conditions. However as it is a transmission issue, the car comes with 5 years warranty in this area, so I am within the timeframe. Hope that clears it up. Thanks.
  13. Guys, Thanks for the quick replies all of you. I will PM you guys separately. Just one more thing to throw out there, this is related to my Dodge and it was recommended by Dodge themselves to use NCDS (NCDSUSA.org) which is an arbitration entity. Now some have suggested that NCDS isn't as fully impartial and unbiased as you would expect, suggesting that they may somehow receive benefits from Dodge in some way? It's not proven, but seeing as it was recommended by Dodge to begin with may allude to that fact. So the question becomes, is it worth using NCDS or better to go with a lawyer?
  14. Guys, I've ran into a bit of a problem here with one of the cars. Long story short I'm having lingering transmission issues which are still unresolved after numerous attempts. Has anyone had to go through this in the state of CA? If so and were successful please point me in the right direction. Much appreciated.
  15. Appears to have the same aftermarket wheels as the previous pics. What were they asking? Did they disclose the incident?
  16. The 12C is the one car I have an itch for. Used to be 458 but for some reason the 12C is taking lead. And I have no idea why.

  18. Just my guess but I suspect the current S class stole some thunder from them. The S Class is just so well designed. Been happy with our S550 and will move on to the S63 in the future. And I was also once considering the Bently at one point as well.

    Tesla...

Jesus H....got to pay another $10K to knock off 0.3 sec? Not sure I'm jumping on that one. 85D is fast enough not to mention every time I get on the heavy pedal my battery range drains fast as f*ck. I like the i8 as well, but wished they had more power. I think I'm spoiled in the mindset that if I'm spending over $100K on a car my minimum requirement is at least 500HP.
