  1. Nice X. Is it a 4.8? They are not easy to steal. Either you are dealing with pros or they flat bedded it, which sounds unlikely. Good odds they will leave it sit somewhere for a few days just invade there was GPS installed. Or else they have already disabled it and stripped the car to pieces.
  2. What is that silver canister above the drivers side intercooler? It looks like it has orange text on it. Don't recognize that from previous TT builds.
  3. To quote the man here, on December 16 2011... "This winter it is undergoing the most extensive, comprehensive, and advanced TT system ever put on any Lamborghini. Power numbers will be around 1300 RWHP on pump 93, 1800-ish on C116. Car will be done in about 3 months." You be the judge.
  4. Either he got it so hot that he blew up the radiator (expansion tank should have prevented that). Or the head gasket was going south and started to pressurize the cooling system.
  5. My father gave me his Lincoln LS in college and I sold it to get an M3 because it wasn't "young" enough for me. It didn't really hit me until a year or two later, that car was really nice and it was in the family since new. Young, and dumb...
  6. Go for a wrap until the plasti-dip gets more popular. You can wrap the Diablo for $600 in materials, but the prep and labor will run the tab up to $2500 or more. You need to remove the bumpers, trim, headlights and tail lights, emblems, etc to get it to look right.
  7. http://www.head-fi.org/ http://app.audiogon.com/ Go nuts.
  8. This goes back long before his latest SV. He used to talk a big game about his old black RWD Murci, quoting some insane WHP, 1/4 mile, and weight numbers. It's been a common theme, Allan v DWiggs, for some time now.
  9. 1988 Lamborghini Countach 5000QV ASK THE MAN WHO OWNS ONE David Houston is the owner of Barney's Beanery, one of Los Angeles's most iconic restaurants. Until its recent cancellation, he was a producer of the "Car Show" with Dan Neil. David has what he considers a "hair metal" collection of cars including a Corvette ZR1, Dodge Viper ACR, and Ford GT40. Why I Like It: "I love unreasonable cars. The Countach is the most unreasonable car I can afford. Example: My wife refuses to ride in the car. She hates it, especially the gold wheels, which I think are one of the greatest things about the car." Why It's Collectible: For car junkies of a certain age, the Lamborghini Countach is the river from which all other supercars flow. If you have an ounce of oil in your blood, you've dreamed about this car. Restoring/Maintaining: "Pray that you don't have to. If you do, open a separate bank account and don't tell your wife about it. Everything is expensive. Parts are terrifyingly rare and pricey, and labor is like the ransom you'd pay to get your child back." Beware: Where to even start? The dry sump alone requires 18 quarts of oil. And Italians were fond of using Soviet steel. Expect to Pay: Concours-ready, $105,950; solid driver, $67,925; tired runner, $42,100 OUR TAKE Then: "The irony, of course, is that the more an enthusiast pays for a car like this, the more idiosyncrasies he seems prepared to forgive." -- Gordon Murray, Motor Trend, July 1990 Now: Many have come, just as many have gone, and still there's no car that defines the word "supercar" as well as the Lamborghini Countach. It doesn't matter how it drives -- the fact that it drives at all is enough. I've driven it. My childhood's now complete. SPECIFICATIONS Engine 315.3-cu-in/5167cc DOHC V-12 Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection Power and torque 449 hp @ 7000 rpm, 369 lb-ft @ 5200 rpm Drivetrain 5-speed manual RWD Brakes front: vented disc, rear: vented disc Suspension front: control arms, coil springs, anti-roll bar; rear: multi-link, coil springs, anti-roll bar Dimensions L: 165.4 in, W: 78.7 in, H: 42.1 in Weight 3500 lb Performance 0-60 mph: 4.2 sec, quarter mile: 13.3 @ 104 mph (Motor Trend, July 1990, mechanically identical 25th anniversary edition) Price when new $145,000 1993 Ferrari 512 TR ASK THE WOMAN WHO OWNS ONE Setorii Pond is a Los Angeles-based car aficionado and burgeoning fashion designer. Her love for automobiles began with her grandfather, who was an avid collector of both automobiles and airplanes. She continues his legacy with a collection of more than 110 cars. Why I Like It: "The Testarossa 512 TR is a pure link between man, or should I say woman, and machine. It has no power steering, a rudimentary form of traction control, amazing road feel, and traditional manual with a gated shifter, and the flat 12-cylinder engine sounds like nothing else. Plus I think it's super sexy, especially in black. Why It's Collectible: You can see that silver horse badge, right? Aside from the Ferrari provenance, the Testarossa's shape and the 512 TR's performance are destined to age well. Think of them as good investments. Restoring/Maintaining: The cars might be relatively inexpensive, but the parts sure ain't. Expect to pay real Ferrari prices for everything it needs, like $7000 for new belts. Beware: The crippling feeling of jealousy when you see your mechanic's new ski boat. Expect To Pay: Concours-ready, $88,000; solid driver, $60,300; tired runner, $37,375. OUR TAKE Then: "The Ferrari punched a jagged gash through the atmosphere, a wound so brutal you'd fully expect it to be visible in the car's mirrors. It might be, but there was no way to tear my eyes off the road ahead to check." -- Jeff Karr, Motor Trend, May 1999 Now: It accelerates, handles, and just plain drives so much better than expected. A real driver's car, a real Ferrari. Why we'd expect anything less from the wizards of Maranello is a good question. Get 'em while they're not worth nearly as much as they will be. 10. I do have one friend who is the most stereotypical ADHD case around. He fidgets, no concentration, hyper, did terrible in school. I gave him an adderall one time and it turned him into a mild mannered, calm, patient person for a 4 hour time frame. He described the experience as being "normal". My point is that it can work for the right person. Seeing as how easy they give out prescriptions, you might as well try it.
  11. Took adderall for 10 years or maybe longer. Eventually it turned me into a zombie. I wasn't the same person off the drug, and that scared me enough to drop it.
  12. I have a bunch more non Lambos if anyone cares to see F cars, P cars, etc...

  14. Are you using aftermarket lugs w/ stock wheels, or aftermarket wheels with stock lugs? Make sure you are using the right type...
  15. Camber plates in front and a more aggressive alignment.
  16. This could be a resource for you: http://www.xbimmers.com/forums/index.php I drive an older X5 4.6is and love it to death, have not driven the X6 yet. I think the shape is a bit odd, not sure how much usable cargo space it has, but BMW does a great job building an SUV that drives like a sports car.

    LP640 gone

You have real skill in unloading cars quickly. Good luck on the hunt for a TT.
  18. Not exactly under the radar, but Miller Motorcars just got an orange/orange Vitesse.
