  1. I too heard about some supposed offer to buy something pilfered from North Korea. The guy should have known better but unfortunately alot of American's view North Korea as a bit of a joke, with all of the ridicule, parody, and Satire heaped upon the Kim's across all media...which in this case was a deadly mistake. Have they determined the cause of death yet? I think most people assumed he was tortured, but I thought I had read that his doctors in the US found no evidence of physical injuries? Did anyone else read that?
  2. Can these things be shorted? Bitcoin I sort of understand the overall concept...but Etherium is a total mystery to me.
  3. At this point there is no way to get congress to agree to anything, so seeking their approval for a strike on a Syrian airbase would have gone absolutely no where. That's the underlying danger I think. You cant rely on the government to do their job so instead of even trying the most expedient thing for Trump to do is to act on his own. In this case, the action was decisive and likely necessary, but on other future potential measures, (against North Korea for example) who knows if that tactic will be the right approach. A broken Congress has screwed us all.
  4. Nice! Congrats on the new car for your son. Looks like you'll both enjoy it.
  5. Doesn't Soros run Monsanto or BlackBriar, and feed gluten laced, GMO fruit and vegetables to all of the public schools across the nation...or something like that? Wasn't he and the Koch brothers in the same pledge class in their fraternity? I may be getting my lefts and rights mixed up now...
  6. Holy shit there's some absolutely stellar advice these last few pages! For those who took the time to offer the advice, thank you. The great thing about good advice is that it can help anyone, not just those to whom it may have been initially directed. The first step for many, on the path to more "success" (be it financial, or otherwise) is having the wisdom to stop and listen to those who are trying to help, AND recognize good advice when you hear it, so that you can make changes towards whatever definition you have of success. Now back to our regular program...
  7. Who are you calling guy, buddy? On another note, I'm glad that the media is taking it on the chin a bit. All of the talk of checks and balances between the branches of the government, but it seems like the press has been left to run rampant. They need to be "checked" as well, and stop with constant opinions and instead just report the freakin news without adding their "opinion". Trump can take it too far with the whole "enemy of America" bullshit, but the bias is plain and the fact we have to have competeing news agencies to out slant each other is ridiculous. So let them squirm a little, and maybe someone will wake up and say, shit we are talking out of our asses, let's just report the news...highly doubtful but like Redd thinking about the wistful shores of Zehuataneo, I hope...
  8. Freaking Chet man...Chet...very sad
  9. Texas is pretty business friendly, but the weather is hot in the summer. Austin, Dallas/Ft. Worth or Houston as far as metropolitan areas with tons of options outside of the large cities. Much much different than California though, which might be a good or bad thing depending on what you are looking for.
  10. Sneaky Pete on amazon prime is pretty good. Takes a little while to get into but pretty entertaining. I wish Peaky Blinders would hurry up with the next season...
  11. Someone made a post on reddit today regarding a rough idea of the possible materials needed for a 1900 mile long wall...pretty impressive list of shit needed...not sure how accurate the estimates were, but it was something along the lines of over 12.5 million cubic yards of concrete? For those of you who deal in construction, does that sound about right? I think they were assuming a wall 20 ft over grade level, 5 ft below grade level, in 10 ft sections, with some footers (whatever those are) in between each section. The wall itself would be like a 18 inches thick or maybe more? Would it be possible to construct such a structure (1900 miles long through desert and mountainous terrain) within 4 years?
  12. You've obviously never watched the 2004 classic, "The Day After Tomorrow". Once global warming reaches a critical mass, the earth will take it upon herself to fix...er....herself by ushering in a new ice age...at that point, the continental US will have no choice but to immigrate south to Mexico, where el Presidente will be waiting with a handful of lube! Either that or hang out in the New York Public Library.
  13. Sorry to hear that it's back. Thoughts and prayers for your friend.
  14. Sorry to those with a lousy 2016...here's to looking forward to a better new year!
  15. Couldn't be...no avocado! Had bats at an apartment in college. They roosted (not sure what you call where they decide to live, but roost sounds good) in between the external siding of the building and the outside wall of my apartment. Bats like to eat tons of insects which was cool since there was a large parking light right outside their (and my) home and central Texas has a shit tion of insects. However as the old saying goes, with much insect eating, comes great gobs of bat poop (scientific term=guano) and that got quite smelly with our shared wall...plus the whole problem with Rabies and what not...anyway, we asked th apartment manager to do something about the bats, and their solution was to spray foam the opening in the siding where the bats got in and out of the wall...except they did it during the day...with the bats inside. So the bats got stuck, eventually died and their poor dead bat bodies added to the bat guano baking in the 105 degree Texas summer heat...we moved pretty soon after that.
  16. This a million times! Peaky Blinders is fantastic, second only to Sopranos as an all time favorite...even a step above Narcos in my book, which I absolutely love. Seasons at short so it's an easy watch, but it will leave you wanting more episodes.
  17. Glad to hear your recovery is going well, congrats! Probably a tough time now staying within your limits since you are feeling better...just keep it slow and steady and you'll be back in fighting shape before you know it! Best of luck on your continued recovery.
  18. Happy Belatd Birthday! Congrats on the movie...What does an executive producer do, versus a producer?
  19. Best of luck with the surgery and recovery. Already been said multiple times, but take time to heal and dont over do it! My buddy didn't take the proper time to heal and put himself out of commission longer than what he would have been had he taken it easy from the jump and allowed his body to heal/strengthen post surgery.
  20. Damn, missed it. Seems like with MMA any fighter can legitimately defeat/upset any other fighter (within reason of course) on any given day. Lawler looks unbeatable most of the time yet he now has 11 losses. Crazy fight game!
  21. 86% masculine...on the clothes section, where the hell was the answer which said "comfort"?
  22. I'm shocked the truck was loaded with weapons instead of explosives. I'm wondering if the driver had a specific destination/rendezvous point to meet with other shitheads who would have grabbed the weapons and opened up on the city? horrible horrible...just freakin horrible.
  23. Best of luck on your new adventure!
