    Euro 2016

Looking forward to Saturday's matches. Been watching Copa America but so far the only matches have been on the Spanish Language channel...my Spanish is pretty rudimentary so my kids and wife are like WTH are you doing? LOL, still not as fun as watching the BPL though! I'll root for England, but seems like the team keeps getting shat upon by the newspapers?
  5. That's awful to hear. F-cancer... Sorry to hear about your friend as well Fortis. F-cancer...
  6. Same here...I'll have to finish Peaky Blinders first....that's a great flipping show as well!
  7. Seems like Tottenham fell off of a cliff the past few games...even dropped to third overall! Great, exciting season! And now I'm off to watch Peaky Blinders (fantastic show)...I'm watching more things from across the pond than the US this year!
  8. LoL, that was quite a party! Didn't they hand out a free beer to each fan at the stadium yesterday? No wonder the hospital got slammed, lol. Personally I liked the donuts they gave out on the owners birthday game...that was pretty cool. Very fun to watch the game and pre-game/post-game festivities yesterday...I just wish the coverage would have lasted a little longer. The best is when the camera's inside the stadium shake after a great play, because of the fans reaction...must be a blast to be there live.
  9. I was really impressed with the whole thing. A school that sized and everything within one square mile. The newest dorm was called Likins (I think) and was right next to the football stadium, in fact you could watch the Jumbotron from one of the study rooms, and I guess from many of the actual dorms facing the stadium. No official cafeteria, but rather 30 or so restaurants in the main Student union building, that use an app for delivery anywhere on campus...id end up like jaba the hut after a semester there! o e weird thing though, was the outdoor mall place we ate at in the foothills...all the shops closed at 7:00 pm? We asked our shuttle driver why and he said Tucson goes to bed early. He then pointed out how dark the city was, which it definitely is esp when compared to Phoenix/Scottsdale, and said it was because of the observatories in the area? Very few city lights point towards the sky, and most lamps are low wattage? Maybe it was just me, but the city certainly seemed dark, especially for something that size.
  10. Went to Tucson for a couple of days to take my son for a short tour around the campus and dorms. Seems like a great school (well I know it's a great school) but does anyone have any family that had gone there, or is anyone on here have any personal experience with the school, good or bad? I think I remember Roman may have gone there for undergrad, but I might be mistaken.my grandfather attended one year there wayyy back in the 30's or 40's (I think) and his younger brother went there (played football 4 years), so gramps loved it, but I was hoping for some more recent opinions.
  11. Wow that is complicated. So this summer will be when we find out who moves and to where...crazy!
  12. I've been watching the premier league every Saturday and Sunday (and Monday nights as well) since about mid December....just started watching on a wild hair and I have to say it's been some of the most exciting sport games/matches I've seen. Such a huge difference between the Premier League and soccer in the US. Anyway, little by little I was able to pick up just how incredible the story of Leister City is, and to watch Chelsea come back last night to tie up the game, holy crap! What a win. And the first half of the Sunday game with LC and MU was probably one of the best games I've seen in any sport. Incredibley fun to watch! One thing I don't understand though is about the transfer of players...the press makes it almost seem as if there is no way Leister City can keep their players/team in tact. Other teams will have the ability to purchase the key players at will? Is this how it works? I'd love to watch an in tact LC play the other European teams next year, to see how they do against Barcelona and Madrid, etc. but it almost seems like a massive exodus is impossible to stop. LC starting 11 (plus Vardy) cost under 20 million pounds, and the other major teams spend several hundred million pounds on their roster....crazy!
  13. Damn crap poop. Chyna wasn't a surprise...sad but not a real surprise...but Fricken Prince? Purple Rain? Let's Go Crazy? 1999? One of the all time great guitarists, and apparently, back yard basketball players! This blows!
  14. That's a great anniversary!
  15. 300 Z TT...I used to look at that damn brochure all the time. Ended up with a 3000GT which was great, but heavy and slow. Really wanted a Supra and or an NSX as well, but could never find one in my price range. Black 98 (I think that was the first year it came out redesigned) Lexus GS400. Traded in the 3000GT for it...still not sure if it was a mistake...
  16. No references to her staring role as the love interest of Bruce Leroy ("catches bullets with his teeth?!?") in one of the greatest Kung fu movies of all time? For shame! Sho Nuff!
  17. That sucked to hear. Very sad for his wife and kids...
  18. I don't like Denver...only time I've ever pulled for them was when they had Tebow. I like Cam Newton...he's a phenom. But Denver's defense went nuts on the patriots...made the best QB in the game look like a rookie and walked all over the Patriots o-line...hell they even caused the o-line coach of the pats to get fired, they pushed them around so much. Not saying that they can do the same to Cam newton, but if they can overwhelm the O-Line like they did last week, then Newtons going to have a long day. But that's the problem...newton is an athlete that has the POTENTIAL to run all over Denver...just don't know if he will. Could be a great game for once... I say Denver takes it.

    hardwood floors

3/4 inch Brazilian Koa in the bedroom, and no scratches at all. One of the hardest woods on that chart so very durable and stable (stability being how much the wood expands and contracts with different levels of humidity...something to consider in high humidity areas). The hardness can affect the installation as well, depending on what method you use; floating versus, glue, versus nail. In the living room we replaced a worn out engineered oak, with 3/4 inch ash, 5" wide flooring. Gorgeous floor, BUT, slightly softer than oak. Scratches like crazy. Not a huge problem with a 12 lb coton de tulear and yorkie, but became a bigger problem when we got Bosco (140 lb Landseer Newf ). Still looks ok but looks lived on. Not too stable either. Once Bosco crosses the rainbow bridge, I plan on replacing it. My buddy in Houston has a hand scraped oak with a darker finish and it looks phenomenal. Hand scraped is a nice way to go, imo, lots of character. As important as the type of wood you select, I think you need to look at brands of wood or where it's milled. Discount places may be cheaper but nothing pisses you off more than laying down a beautiful floor and finding wood that's "off" on width by a millimeter or two in width or height!
  20. Wow, very sad to hear. Snape wasn't his best roll, but man he made that character come to life.
