Yes, they are still cleared over just like any other modern paint job. I had this fear as well, that the car would be like having flat wall paint that would show every little mark, but they are actually more durable than you think from looks alone. I've heard rumors someone local in socal has a satin balloon white car that is supposed to be absolutely insane, still trying to hunt it down.
