topjay Report post Posted March 25, 2010 Plus the fact a DSG box has no caracter and is boring compared to a seq E-Gear. Not really related th this thread but the 560 egear is pretty good but dsg would undoubtbly be better in every way, corsa in the current generation hurts your back and neck if driven hard for a prolonged period, it can also unbalance the car with the harsh changes if the road surface is not perfect. I reckon the new car will have dsg.

Smurf Balls Report post Posted March 25, 2010 is that near your castle? nope, but it's 5km away from my summer house Why do you confused? There is a F1 track. that track is barely used anymore, the tarmac sucks big time there (bumps etc) this is the track to use in Ptg and the one that brands have been using to test mules/prototypes - http://www.autodromoalgarve.com.pt/ there's nothing about this still in Portuguese car forums, will report back if i discover something new to add

DickSimmons Report post Posted April 7, 2010 I reckon the new car will have dsg. As of now, the only way a Lamborghini will get a DSG is if it will end up in an Audi too. I don't think they could ever justify the cost of a DSG development for a car produced in so few numbers as a Murcielago. Placid Report post Posted April 7, 2010 I thought Audi already had a DSG..... They do... but not one that can handle ~700 HP.

DickSimmons Report post Posted April 8, 2010 use they Veyron's! That transmission probably costs more to service than a Gallardo.

DickSimmons Report post Posted April 9, 2010 New spyshots and information: http://www.autoblog.com/2010/04/08/spy-sho...cielago-in-2011 Are you sure? Hmm, Lamborghini said they were doing a lot of the R&D at their own expense, but I have a feeling it's far less. If that source is right, they've abandoned their own system for Quattro. New User Report post Posted April 9, 2010 Clearly just a slapped together mule for nothing more than drivetrain and suspension testing. Not even close to what the car will look like. Looking at it more closely, it almost looks like the front clip of a Gallardo LP560 with trim pieces stuck all over it. Look more closely at the mirrors, doors, wipers, and windows. The front bonnet area has a thick cover over it to hide the body lines and headlamps. Not to mention all the other random parts like the Reventon engine bonnet and SV exhaust tip. I am really excited that they are testing for a new car, but we are still quite sometime from getting a 12 cylinder replacement. Mako Report post Posted April 9, 2010 Clearly just a slapped together mule for nothing more than drivetrain and suspension testing. Not even close to what the car will look like. The Gallardo A-pillar is the give-away, along with the non-scissor doors. If had to venture even a guess I'd say only 5-10% of what we can see from these photos will make its way to the final car. Just a mechanical test platform as you mentioned.
D.Wiggs Report post Posted April 9, 2010 Remember. The scissors doors are almost 100% certainly gone. The car will be significantly smaller and more Gallardo/Audi-like.
