Klassens FAIL on Murci Fri night

I installed these Klassens on my Murci a few days ago. Last night on I95 in Miami at 80mph (cruising, no hard driving), this happened:

I have been driving exotics for 20 years and have never seen anything like this. Has anyone here ever seen anything like this???

The good news is I got the car off the road without wrecking int and no one was hurt.

Klassen: WTF?

Same thing happened to me in my S4 years ago. The OEM wheel split from each of the 6 spokes and put me into the wall at 80mph. You are VERY VERY lucky nobody was injured!

Retail 9k wheels only... Figured they'd be ok. And they sponsor LamboPower.. Shoulda gone with the HREs...

I believe Klassen is also just under new ownership..

Just to play devil's advocate, the relative close timing to the install makes me pause a bit. Is it possible the lugs were overtightened, or something else, that may have been a contributing factor?

Such a catastrophic failure, terrible. Glad you're ok.

Lugs were torque properly - I was there when they did it....

And this is why I don't put aftermarket wheels on performance cars. If I must have aftermarket I would go with some HREs.

:o Count your lucky stars dude, that could have killed you so easily!

Get your car thoroughly inspected, sheered off wheels can cause major damage to suspension components etc...

Make some calls and start kicking some ass, $9K wheels should not fail under any driving condition short of driving your car off a cliff.
