Ipads not having flash is more than common knowledge...

And I knew that (thought it be ok anyways), but now after owning it, it's a big annoyance.

They are over-rated!!! You will still end up purchasing a new one 3-4 years from now, maybe even sooner. Pick your poison PC or Apple?

I bought an iMac and a Macbook Air to match my iPad and iPad 2 and iPhone 4 etc etc (yeah I'm a sheep, so sue me!)

I hated the iMac, used it once and just got rid of it, but the Air, I love the Air, what a laptop!!

Did you keep the receipt ? Take it back, get your money back. Truly awful products.

I am going to try and buy an Apple Airport Extreme router, and see how it goes from there.

This one is for my wife more than me, so as long as I can stop the complaining, I don't care what the cost is. :icon_mrgreen:

I was going to buy an iMac 27" for me. Snowpoke-you had issues with yours?

Not really any issues, more so that I didn't like the feel of it, it simply has to big of a screen for casual L-Power browsing and the accasional porn..

The mouse sucked ass in feel as well.. It looks very good though, I must admit, that was the main reason I went for it..

I'm probably going for a Pro instead at my office, I love the Air so the Pro must be better, no?!

LPower works fine on my iMac..and i agree with the magic mouse more like shitty mouse...thing looks good but sucks so bad...i am using a normal mouse now and the wireless keyboard dies on me too often aswell!

I have you to thank for the info regarding the memory upgrade.

One thing i wonder is Lion is debuting next month, i wonder if we'll get a break on the upgrade or if we'll have to pay the upgrade fee. It's only 30 bucks but still.

Not sure - I haven't seen the Lion OS in action - don't know if it's even worth changing the OS just to avoid the headache in general...

I just got a 27" iMac and no problems at all. Amazing machine. I upgraded the RAM after I bought it (ebay) and have 12gb of ram - pretty fast computer and amazing screen/graphics.

give it time to get used to it. You will come to love it. I agree, take it to a mac store.

:iamwithstupid:

Just give it time. Talk to the Apple boffins and get it worked out. Once you get used to Mac you won't go back, I promise! Everyone I know who has made the switch will never go back. Cold dead hands for me, personally.

iMac's are terribly slow. My two year old $1500 PC beats the newest $3000 iMac at pretty much any task you may throw at it. A friend has one, and anything we could compare between MacOS and Windows in terms of performance it got beat. And installing Windows 7 on it really showed how much the hardware sucked, useless for anything but reading news online :icon_mrgreen:

And they have a 12 ms respons rate and 1000:1 contrast ratio?? That's aweful!

And the Macbook Pro's... They are so noisy and get so freaking hot, I don't understand how anyone cope with them.

I think what I like most now is that everything is synergetic. Just hook everything to the IMac and it all syncs automatically. Everything is easier, and for non computer geniuses, thats not a bad thing.

Just bought a ipad2 and it sucks ass, no flash I can't even go on speedtest.net to check speeds.POS.

Why don't you just download the speed test app instead?

Motorola Xoom baby!

I have the Xoom and iPad. Xoom is nowhere near iPad and is almost worthless. Flash runs okay, not great, and the browsers suck ass. Not smooth at all like the iPad, especially when zooming in on content. And android apps suck ass compared to iPad apps. Until you have both it's hard to see the difference. Apple's apps are far and away better, even for the same app across platforms (cnbc app comes to mind).

You are on crack. Especially the worthless part. My last company used Mac products exclusively (iPads, MacBook Pros, iPhone 3GS and iPods for back up [that sucked]) so I have experience on both sides of the fence. The iPad is a great product but does have its own limitations. To say the Xoom is worthless is a total fanboi comment. The browser is great and I haven't had any problems with it so far plus they offer the ability to use Firefox and Dolphin browsers if you so choose. As for zooming in I have no idea what you are talking about. Apps sucking ass.... start dropping names.

Gmail-Better on the Xoom because they can role out updates faster

Navigation-Better on the Xoom because they can role out updates faster

Top games-Same exact ones that are available on the iPad.

Market-iStore is a lot easier to naviagate and I like how they organize everything. I will give you that.

Amazon App store-Mac doesn't even have on for the iPad/iPhone.

Flash runs fine and runs a lot better then it does on the iPad. :eusa_dance:

I smell a fanboi which is fine but just identify yourself that way.

I merely stated that based on the OP's comments he should look at a Xoom.

Sync what? Mail? Music? Pictures? Documents? If you need to sync stuff directly between your devices you're living in the 90's :icon_mrgreen:

This should be in a cloud, not on the computer. Services like Spotify and Skydrive have been available for years, and just now Apple released a similar service with iCloud. Probably saying it changes everything. Again. :eusa_think:

You, sir, are an idiot.

How so?

Overpriced priced products whilst being styled nicely have some questionable business practises which means two of our three products will not work on them unless we do a full re write.
