SCL_Blackbird Report post Posted November 30, 2011 Courtesy of Henry Ford. Love those cars! The same people who make the engine for the Veyron make the engine block for Koenigsegg.
TurboGallardo Report post Posted November 30, 2011 The same people who make the engine for the Veyron make the engine block for Koenigsegg. Yes, but the engine is based off of the Ford Modular V8. Original CC8's had a Ford block, I believe.

SCL_Blackbird Report post Posted November 30, 2011 I thought the Agera Engine is their first engine built all by themselves? It is. They used the Ford engine in all the "CC" cars.
Destructo Report post Posted November 30, 2011 It is. They used the Ford engine in all the "CC" cars. Good call. Thanks for clearing that up. Regardless. I love the way these cars sound. Absolutely incredible.
porter Report post Posted November 30, 2011 Nice vid, Rob. Thanks. On a related note the CCXR Trevita is insane... then again at 5MM it better be. I think I read Leno has one...
XLR82XS Report post Posted November 30, 2011 Yes, but the engine is based off of the Ford Modular V8. Original CC8's had a Ford block, I believe. It used to be. They now have an engine proprietary to them.
topjay Report post Posted November 30, 2011 The ccx that i heard was much louder than the Agera, both are deep and rumbly but the new car is actually quite quiet in person. They did a couple of display laps at a track with an Agera, 599 GTO and Zonda all owned by the same guy both of which were significantly louder than it. His CCX however was flame spitting and mean. lambolp400s Report post Posted December 28, 2011 It is. They used the Ford engine in all the "CC" cars. In a documentary on swedish TV some years back, they talked about the "Ford" engine. It was based on a much reworked Ford block, but 80% of the parts in the engine was to their own design.

asscelerator Report post Posted December 30, 2011 A well working UGR Gallardo Superleggera would destroy an Koenigsegg like nobody's business. I'd still enjoy watching it though, so I agree
