Chin.Up Report post Posted January 13, 2016 West Edmonton Mall is giving away an Aventador Roadster... There was a white coupe before that a lady had just won. Guess this is their new raffle vehicle lol Every year they raffle off a new exotic vehicle. Thought this was fun to share

Kevin2772 Report post Posted January 13, 2016 Wonder how that works out. Im guessing the taxes make it a little tough to take the car.

Chin.Up Report post Posted January 13, 2016 The vehicle is owned by the owners of the mall (same owners as the mall of America) and they usually drive a new exotic for a year then throw it into this raffle. Some of the past vehicles
ToofDoc Report post Posted January 13, 2016 That's Amzing at the same time as insane!! Great for the mall's marketing and advertising!
Rawr Report post Posted January 13, 2016 how do the numbers work on something like this? Pretty crazy if it's due on some date and you are taking a 50% haircut because not enough people bought in.
BLK TONY Report post Posted January 13, 2016 That's insane. My local mall has some used Buick they're giving away lol.
fmari Report post Posted January 13, 2016 If someone that knows how this raffle works can chime in that would be great. I think something like this can help create a buzz and increase my customer base. I wouldnt raffle a car at first. Maybe an industrial storage cabinet , something all of my customers can use. The car was a lottery prize, not a gift. I'm guessing that ticket sales might be a little slower for an industrial storage cabinet. 07pearl Report post Posted January 18, 2016 Wonder how that works out. Im guessing the taxes make it a little tough to take the car. This is Canada ! No taxes on any winnings here. If you win any lottery or at the casino there is no taxes. If that 1.5billion power ball had been in Canada the winner would get every penny . Same as this car they don't have to pay 50percent tax upfront to get it .
rnl113 Report post Posted January 26, 2016 Apparently the next car is going to be a red SV.
Chin.Up Report post Posted January 27, 2016 Apparently the next car is going to be a red SV. If that's the vehicle the mall owners have coming for the summer, then it will most likely be it then for next years raffle.

NuclearJACK Report post Posted January 27, 2016 The vehicle is owned by the owners of the mall (same owners as the mall of America) and they usually drive a new exotic for a year then throw it into this raffle. Some of the past vehicles So I'm guessing the owner buys the car, drives it for a while, then sells it to the mall for a profit or break even. Like this example in Nova Scotia "the dream home was sold to the charity for $1,075,000 by Kris Martin, who is the homeowner. The lottery was an idea conceived and run by Martin and her friend, Maria Sancho. After the house was raffled off, Martin bought the home from the lottery winners for $620,000 — a difference of $455,000. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/nova-scotia/...cotia-1.2899499
