NRG x Lambo Report post Posted January 5, 2017 Performante or Superleggera?
rambointhegarage Report post Posted January 5, 2017 Performante or Superleggera? Performante, they can't use Superleggera anymore. Lamborghini doesn't have the copy right of the name.
737Drvr Report post Posted January 5, 2017 Very excited about the Performante. A lot of cool stuff going on with aero, particularly with the rear wing. It's probably already been said, but rumor is that Perf. lapped the ring quicker than the 918. I'm on the list at my dealer as well. Can't wait to see it in the flesh. NRG x Lambo Report post Posted January 6, 2017 Performante, they can't use Superleggera anymore. Lamborghini doesn't have the copy right of the name. who does? did they before? or did they just use name and not give a crap until now? so will they just go with Performante and Performante Spyder i assume? rambointhegarage Report post Posted January 6, 2017 who does? did they before? or did they just use name and not give a crap until now? so will they just go with Performante and Performante Spyder i assume? I don't know all the details but it could be as you said. I just know it as I asked somebody at Lambo if the would use the term superleggera for a 2wd version later on as this would be the lightest Huracan of all of them. However I was told that they don't own the name rights and as a consequence can't use it anymore. Could be that the name right lies with one of the coach builder like Touring and they didn't find an agreement on the price for using it again. NRG x Lambo Report post Posted January 6, 2017 I wonder how many they will produce. SL's and Performante's were never produced as limited production cars correct?
profunctional Report post Posted January 6, 2017 SL's and Performante's were never produced as limited production cars correct? My dealer told me limited to 1000. Doesn't sound that limited.
monEmakindave Report post Posted January 6, 2017 SL's and Performante's were never produced as limited production cars correct? Out of curiosity how come only 172 SL's came to North America? Was it just lack of interest at that time? Last hurrah of 1st gen cars before LP changeover? Possibility of future increase of value since the SL name will no longer be used? Kevin2772 Report post Posted January 6, 2017 That was also around the time of the big economy crash. About the same time half the dealers went bust as well
DBK Report post Posted January 6, 2017 I was also told 1000. Would assume there will be a comparable number of spyders later.
