The Performante encounter...

I'm with you, not a fan of yellow period. I love the red accents on blue Lambos.

 

I was thinking the same until I decided to listen to few people and give it a go, not a fan of yellow in general as in you would never catch me in a yellow car, same goes for green, I don't like green cars but the yellow accents work VERY well with blues and my car looked stunning with yellow trim, also for the Performante I am going green accents because it looks killer with black.

 

Sometimes when viewed in a large mass certain colors can be overpowering and too much in your face but in small doses they complement very well.

 

Ultimately, I agree, how ever wrong you may be you always have to buy what YOU like

So I told my dealer to submit my final order today and get me a delivery date ASAP because our local socialist gov't decided yesterday that they're increasing taxes on luxury cars over $150,000 from 10% to 20%, factor in federal taxes the rate now is 25%. Guess they had find money from somewhere so they can hand out more free drugs and give more free handouts to their supporters.

Got a late night email from my SA and looks like I might get July delivery. He's going to get confirmation later today from HQ so fingers crossed or else I'll have to wait until Sept. My HP will be MY19.

Wow...interesting! I knew it was about the same as the regular huracan... I’ve seen stock huracan 610’s weigh in the 3423lb Range from car and driver in 2014, see attached photo.

 

The same car and driver magazine today showed they weighed the performante at 3429lb, what are they smoking!!!!

 

Everyone wants to kiss Lamborghini’s butt and say the car weighs less than it does. Everyone should weigh the car with a specific amount of gas as there is 21.1 gallons x 6.3 lbs= 132.93lbs of just fuel. Then the race seats vs comfort should save maybe 40lbs+.

 

It’s like the magazines get different cars (not the case) or they are weighing them with only a couple gallons of fuel.

What options did your performante have?

 

I weigh all cars on the same scale in the same manner. As-delivered, meaning with tool kit, spare, tire inflator, whatever is affixed to the car, and a full tank of fuel. I've used this particular scale for 10+ years, it's a local drive-onto truck scale, regularly calibrated because it's commercial. The resolution is 20lbs, but it's easy enough to guess within 10 by adding a small amount of weight to see if 3580 gets pushed to 3600, in which case it's beyond the halfway point. Such was the case with the Performante, so I'd feel comfortable saying 3590.

 

Other cars I've weighed on this scale are accurate to manufacturer's spec, and those are not lightweight "track" cars where there are some bragging rights to having less weight, so I have no reason to disbelieve the accuracy of the scale.

 

Hence my ongoing annoyance that the door handles don't pop out automatically, what can that possibly weigh, 5-10lbs absolute maximum?

I agree yellow accents does look right with blue cars, but it seems like yellow is the accent color of choice on a lot of colors so red is a refreshing change. I can't remember the member that posted pics of their blu nethuns Huaracan with red accents and seats, it was killer IMO but I get not everyone's taste.

 

As for your HP choice, that will be an amazing combo. Sprites SL with VI calipers was phenomenal and so was the member that had the Grigio Telesto SL with VI calipers.

Congrats brother and I believe MY19 production is end of June but for the spyder it might be earlier. Can't imagine the spyder been a MY18.

I took delivery of my Huracan around July 6th of 2016. At that time, it was a MY2017. Currently awaiting delivery of P July this year. Was told it was a MY 18, but doesn't make sense from my last experience.

I don’t like the wheel style but I like the white wheels.

I like the painted rocker panels, that is a gorgeous HP.

this is insane how quickly the counts are rolling--much success. Its a solid car and clearly a great platform given the success of the Performante!

Met with ad personam in Geneva a few days ago and I was told gloss centerlock wheels will be offered in gloss black, a new blue leather will also be offered. It's a carryover from the available leathers for the Urus. Also the metal mats available only with the laser package might be offered separately.

Got pricing info for the new gloss option for the Loge wheels and I was told it would be an additional $5500 USD lol . I also asked about doing my interior trim in the new blue called "Blu Amon" and I was told it would cost $15k, another WTFLOL moment with my SA.

What exactly did you ask to have done in the interior ?
