New Lamborghini - LP700-4 - Discussion

I was very sorry to hear that Manfred has recently departed from Lamborghini.

Do you have any idea why?

I just dont understand TOM why you are in such a "tissy" fit over OTHER peoples actions here in regards to this..

 

1) You dont ownLamborghini

 

2) You did not get ME or others on the "invite" list

 

3) You had nothing to do with getting this show to the USA

 

4) You dont own the PR firm

 

5) You have NO finicial stake in this...atleast I dont think so..?

 

6) Your parents, children or any other family members are not being held captive...in exchange for the out come of this..

 

7) Your friend Manfred as since left the company

 

SO WHAT IS the big frikin problem that you feeling the need to be the "School Yard" playground monitor..?

 

Should you just notbe concerned with your actions and happy with your life and outcome.?

I hope the roadster comes with a proper top.

Yeah, roof is part of the CF tub structure which makes the prospect of the roadster interesting given the structure of the tub as well as the crease in the roof. I think the roadster will lose a LOT of structural rigidity compared to the coupe.

is this true? cause i know 'egg, and 99% sure zonda, both make their cf tubs roofless then add a roof if its a coupe and just dont if they want to make a roadster

I believe this is a priority because when I asked the main Lambo exec (I forget his name) he said, that is of course a concern given the difficulty with the Murci top, but there's not a lot of space to work with.

The reason I say this is because during the presentation, they were talking about the tub and the picture they presented had the the roof and pillars in it.

 

The car I saw had those exact wheels, In some of autocar's pics you get a good idea exactly what the front vent size is as well in this pic you see clearly the 'W' shape of the front. The huge side vent is clear here too. You can see the batwing area too, and the sort of complex shape of the lower side sill is apparent.

 

The interior shot they have shows you a little of the real interior of the car.

 

 

Here you can see the way the roof is shaped and the rear louvers which were clear plexiglass in the showcar.

If this is it, and by accounts given so far, it is. This thing is awesome. I think some of the small detailing will be really cool. And if the Autocar review is any indicator, the vehicle dynamics are state of the art.

Yes upright and the shell has a oragami shape. I liked it.

Can't really see much, they blacked out anything with detail (see how the paddles are pixelized) and smeared the center console. Console is high though, cockpit-like.

Console is high, it cascades. Buttons and switches look audiesque. Would look better with metal accents. It's clean and modern.

Also, seatbelts come out of the normal side of the car now!

Cant wait to see the new Murci SV 5 or so years from now!

 

Wonder what the actual AWHP is on this car compared to the LP67SV.

 

I think it will sell well if it is a true 700hp car with the interior I think it will have, a much better transmission, and much lighter.

 

2009/2010 LP640's/SV's will see big depreciation when this comes out IMO.

So now that we have a good idea on the nose, headlights, the crease down the middle of the roof and the side air scoops, can someone please re-do the photoshop on page six? We're getting closer. I would do it myself but I suck at p-shop.

that quarter shot of the car gives you a very very good idea of what it will be like... the lines are there if you look hard at it.... Im surprised that the picture showed up... but as I was saying before. This is a car that is fully loaded which push the weight up... This platform can be lightened up considerably given all the pieces I can see that the car in sv or more aggressive form with many comfort deletions will be a 3000lb car. That being said, it speaks volumes on the future for this car.
