  1. Sorry for bringing up the dead, but just wanted to provide an update should this car ever be resurrected. Currently sitting outside in trashed condition, no change from a year ago. Can't imagine the interior has fared too well.
  2. https://www.cp24.com/mobile/news/one-dead-t...-hill-1.3867300 Lots of people out in nice cars enjoying the sun today but weather is only hitting a few degrees above freezing. Lots of cold patches in the shade and ice. No word if the deceased is the driver of the SV.
  3. I always used mid level sennheiser ear bud headphones but recently got a pair of AKG K3003i IEM. I find the audio quality astonishing but I understand how the reference filters can be fatiguing for extended listening , I still need to try the bass boost filters to see if it helps.
  4. I have a couple of vintage Omegas that I think would do better on a winder, but I'm hesitant to cause additional wear. Is the consensus that the controlled / programmed motion of the movement is preferable to letting them sit for a month or two? I have a modern seamaster that would be handy to keep running to avoid constantly setting the date / time. Not trying to thread jack, but I figured you folks would be the right audience to ask.
  5. I never heard the officer give him the command to un-cross his legs. It appeared to me like the poor bastard was trying to scoot down the hallway, with his hands straight up and his legs still crossed behind him. You'd have to be some circus performer to make that happen. I don't know how you could possibly think that the line of commands, and expected actions as a result are reasonable for an average human to comprehend and carry out given the situation. I could see myself getting shot for the exact same reason as this guy. If GI Joe were bearing down on me with custom AR and expecting me to defy the laws of physics in the process, I'd have a breakdown too.
  6. I've got two I can donate to the cause....
  7. Also keep.in mind that the focus of some of these cars reflects the areas that they're driven in. Many parts of the US and Canada are devoid of any truly enjoyable, twisty driving roads. In these cases, I think it's only natural that cars focusing on straight line performance are developed. Parker mentioned going back to VF to upgrade the kit to be more competitive with the 720s. Will be interesting to see what the come up with and if maintains, what appears to be, rock solid driveability.
  8. Alot of people hate Doug Demuro but I think his review of the 4c would make alot of potential buyers consider something like a Cayman or a TTrs instead, I would. Around town, manual steering would get tiresome, and I get the feeling the lack of daily usability is engineering oversight more than a purposeful intent to make a drivers car.
  9. Only a few degrees above freezing last night, definitely ambitious to be driving like that given the cold conditions. I somewhat doubt he had snow tires on. Not surprisingly, it appears the civic R took off after the crash.
  10. How about a panamera turbo? I read this thread yesterday and came across the following video today. Couldn't help but think the opening comparisons seemed to resonate the feedback in this thread.
  11. Couldn't the change in noise be alternating bursts of fire inside and outside? I don't hear the two burst simultaneously.
  12. Another take on this, for those who don't believe this specific event warrants any change in gun laws, is there any number of fatalities / injuries where you would consider changing your mind? If he had killed 100 or 200 people by fortifying his position, would you think that perhaps something needs to change? As a Canadian, I'm genuinely curious to hear if people believe that there is no correlation of mass shooting events to gun legislation. I love the engineering, design and history behind firearms and would own a 1911 in a heartbeat if it wasn't a complete pain in the ass here.
  13. I was trying to track one down untill I saw the Wheeler Dealers episode on it. When he goes to remove the instrument cluster, each wire has to be disconnected individually as they hadn't put a loom with a common disconnect into the harness. For me, this exemplified the type of issues that might lead to shoddy repairs and high repair costs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7MCIJv1jou8 (16:50)
  14. Video of this car getting loaded at 0:45. Looks like it's being well taken care of at makes and models.
  15. If you check out Damon Fryers YouTube channel "daily driven exotics", he has a number of videos on his vf supercharged huracan. It will at least give you a good idea of exhaust note and cabin noise. I don't recall any negative comments so far but take that with a grain of salt as he may be doing promotion for them in exchange for the kiy.
  16. If you watch the roadster youtube video linked above, you will see that the rev limiter has been raised which will help for peak power numbers.
  17. Did you do the install yourself? Is there a chance someone used a mallet or something to "seat" the axles in place while working on the suspension?
  18. Although my experience pertains to a corvette and not a lambo, I had a similar quandary when we had our first daughter a few months ago. I ended up getting a nice car seat that works well in the POS and have made a habit of doing morning drives on the weekend with the kid. A large microfiber towel will protect your upholstery, just make sure the carseat bottom doesn't have any sharp edges. It gives Mom a nice break to sleep in and me an excuse to go for a cruise and stop for morning coffee. I usually bring a bottle so I'm not constrained by the usual 2-hour feeding requirement. Obviously a straight-piped, de-catted V12 probably wouldn't be safe for their small ears, but most cars would do just fine. Do ensure that the passenger airbag is disabled if you go this route.
  19. I wonder if the widespread failure of other automotive pneumatic systems will cause consumers / industry to be reluctant to accept it. Although the engineering will surely be vastly different, look at the resale value of any early air-suspension equipped Audi or Mercedes to confirm the lack of consumer confidence. Even the air bladders in the seats in my corvette fail consistently. All that to say the theory is incredible and I'm sure the execution will be exceptional based on their other products but having worked in the automotive testing industry, I'll be very curious to see the lengths they go to in order to evaluate durability.
  20. And if the loss were closer to 50% without an inventory and sold as a lot? There may also be a sentimental factor of "dumping" a collection that was so carefully acquired over.
  21. Apologies if you've already come across this, but the following page has a lot of guidance for your exact situation. https://familygardentrains.com/blog_like_co...l_my_trains.htm I think it would be difficult to decide on a path forward without having a good idea if your time spent will be worthwhile financially. It looks like building an accurate inventory first would be ideal. Once you have an accurate summary you could send a "batch" email to hobby stores who may consider buying the lot. You could also post on some train hobby forums at the same time. There looks to be various national and state level organizations. As mentioned above, paying a younger family member to note and photograph each piece might be money well spent. Dump it all in an excel file and forward as needed.

Chris Evans just resigned. I guess the public feedback was significant to warrant a chain. I'm very happy with the remaining lineup. Adam
  23. How about this 2008 SL in Montreal? With the CDN dollar the way it is, its $145,800 USD. http://www.autotrader.ca/a/Lamborghini/Gal...p;orup=26_15_44 Apologies if you're only interested in info pertaining to the LOD car linked. Adam
