limey Report post Posted August 24, 2015 It's a red 99 Those bids are 100% BS, shill bidding. Anyone in their right mind is going to sell an SV for anything south of $300k

SAMLAMBO Report post Posted December 8, 2015 That car was for sale for a very loooong time. Do you know that it definitely sold? Or was it just taken off sale? Yup coz the dealer was holding his asking price. Definitely sold.
abolfaz Report post Posted December 8, 2015 With Shazam's crash, it might have something to do with the FL market... I don't follow?
Redlambo Report post Posted December 8, 2015 I don't follow? I think the OP is confused and is talking about a person that goes by Shamile on F-chat and recently was T-boned in his Diablo roadster. http://www.wreckedexotics.com/accident/18310?c=mo42 Regardless of the confusion I do not believe this has any bearing on the recent appreciation in Diablo values. The market goes up and it goes down. Right now it is red hot because of cheap money.

CCIE Report post Posted December 9, 2015 Im not seeing Diablo's selling do we have any recent high value official #'s? Actually a Diablo Roadster finally sold!!!!! It had some issues but it Actually sold for around $90K The ebay high bidder backed out and by the time I talked with the seller, he told me that isomeone was interested but lets talk, I was going to offer him 10K over the ebay price, On my way to check the DR a friend of mine called to tell me that he bought a DR turns out he was talking about the silver one. I called the the seller and 30 min later when I got a hold of him I was told he had already received a deposit for the DR so I backed out. That is the only Diablo that I am aware of that has recently actually sold. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lamborghini-Diablo...em=252171928068 I cant imagine 20 year old Diablo pricing being the same or more then a modern aggressive beautiful new Aventador pricing!!!!! IMHO.... Its just not time yet for the Diablo I say another 10+ years
Chipster Report post Posted December 9, 2015 No buyers are cross shopping a Diablo and Aventador, so I don't think Aventador cost has any bearing on Diablo market. That 99 roadster is definitely NOT a market indicator

Regardless of the truth, that car certainly wont set a benchmark for pricing with the questionable title.

SingleSeat Report post Posted December 10, 2015 aventador is not more beautiful than a diablo...faster, better, more reliable but not as beautiful. gandini designed the diablo and he is a design genius. period ...and a shout out to Tom Gale and team at Chrysler for credit where credit is due. For a long time I never knew how the Diablo we know came to be that way from Gandini's original concept. Without Gandini, we would not have the Diablo and without Gale's team, we wouldn't have the Diablo that we love today. Maybe Gale ended up being to the Diablo what Wolf was to the Countach. lamboservice Report post Posted December 13, 2015 CCIE that silver roadster belonged to Dennis Rodman and was heavily totalled. Has been for sale in 2011 for 69k a long long time
CCIE Report post Posted December 13, 2015 Lamboservie..... I did see pic of damage to the door and bumper, It looked like cosmetic damage which was fixed, I would also settle for a good priced DR even if it has title issue as long it was solid mechanically, I care less if the value is not going to be there when and if I sell it because I am looking for a DR to drive and enjoy and not as an investment besides most Diablo/DR back then were around $90-125K range. If I recall the seller bought the car for around $69K. Last I spoke to my friend he said he is happy with the Bull. I backed out and I kind of regret it. I am looking for the BULL to drive and enjoy not to park it in my garage and hope the value to go up. It was not going to be an investment for me just the investment I will get driving it. I would prefer a 99 Yellow but currently most DR are priced crazy so Wait I will do. Because these DR are made for driving and Driving I will do (lol.... hopefully soon)

dantm Report post Posted December 18, 2015 Its a 97 not a 99, SALVAGE title...NOT even in the same ball park as a decent Diablo.... I was actually the high bidder on that eBay Diablo...at $100K, talked to the seller then did some due diligence based on the VIN, just google the VIN and search Google images. It shows pretty serious? side impact, similar to the shamille's car on F-Chat which suffered frame damage and was Totaled by the insurance company because of this. To me - too much risk, and questions will be raised when trying to sell it. From my understanding aluminum frame construction does not bode well to frame damage impacts so... The bumper damage that you refer to is the rear quarter panel indentation which happens when a hard hit happens, it's made to be a shock crumple zone on cars in general. Long time ago in college I had an accident where somebody hit me in the front corner and the rear quarter dented in because of the impact. Anyway - long story short, google Shamille's blue roadster on FChat and he suffered the same hit, it's in the lambo forum and a similar hit to the door and subsequent inspection proved there was irreversible (not cost-effective to repair) frame damage. Once again - too many questions to answer if it ever came time to resell...

thenewbruno Report post Posted April 21, 2017 Looks like time to resell already arrived - this car was on eBay within the last few weeks. Anyone know if the car sold? I'm putting some thought into having a crack at this car if it's available. As long as it drives straight, tracks straight under braking, and goes around corners like a car.... hey it's a Lamborghini Diablo. If my priority were to have the best performing car for this budget I'd be in a Nissan GTR with cranked up turbos and I'd be running 9.something quarter miles. Not my priority whatsoever. My priority is to have a Diablo.
