  1. I was there as well for the midday showing. As others have said, the NDA was pretty specific about keeping hush hush. But I can also say you will not be disappointed! The car is very special--at least to me. It is a muscular car. It's the Lamborghini styling we've all come to love with serious performance to back it up. This car is a game changer and Lamborghini is and should be proud of the engineering that went into it. My favorite parts of the car. The rear. Such an improvement over the standard H. No offense to that car but they dialed up the appearance and wow factor back there by 10 notches. Plus, it all serves a purpose. It just looks damn good. The bonnet. Holy shit, what a work of art. And it's functional to the car as well. You'll see. The front end is even a bit more mean looking if that's an appropriate word. It all works together very well. I'm impressed!! I'm going to see the McLaren P14/720 in three weeks. It will have to blow me away to even think of not going Performante. I know it will have stellar performance as well but I don't think the looks are going to cut it for me. The Perf is just that solid looking of a car. I also think the Performante may represent one of the last great NA engines with such a great package. And that kind of car is special to me and probably a keeper. Well done Lamborghini! I'll probably go back to my roots and order Ariancio Borealis that I had on my first Lambo, an 08 Superleggera. There are many other good colors but that one tugs at me. Enjoy your time with car for those of you with an upcoming preview. I can't wait to see it again!
  2. I'll be at the LA showing at Noon on Thursday the 2nd. Hope to see some LPers there. Can't wait!
  3. Very excited about the Performante. A lot of cool stuff going on with aero, particularly with the rear wing. It's probably already been said, but rumor is that Perf. lapped the ring quicker than the 918. I'm on the list at my dealer as well. Can't wait to see it in the flesh.
  4. If I'm not mistaken, this test was conducted at a higher altitude. Seem to remember it being in Utah. If that's the case, then that provides an advantage to the NSX with its boosted/electric power train vs. the Aventador's naturally aspirated V12. I'm not saying the test was properly conducted but the NSX might have had a chance at higher altitude. Either way, I'm with you guys/gals. The Ave looks better standing still and has aged very well. Yup, the NSX is late to the party and overpriced IMO. It's a 120-140K car not 200. I think depreciation will hit these cars hard. A lot for sale already on cars.com. The Aventador is still pretty quick by today's standards. It needs a DCT. That alone will take the car to another level.
  5. Now we know why you've been incognito. You've been out chasing one of these down--but what an awesome example. It looks practically new and the red looks great. CGT is an epic car in my book. Still looks great and ahead of its time. I wish I would've picked one up 4-5 years ago. Enjoy many miles to come and look forward to hearing your impressions. Congrats!
  6. I wouldn't doubt it. I have only had my 650S for a few months and am amazed at the thrust this car has. I love the handling too. Probably the best driving exotic I've owned. McLaren has really upped the bar in that regard. I still love the Lambos and think they win in the looks department hands down. Ave SV is such a sick looking ride. I also can't wait for the performante to come out. That will be tough decision between that and the P14/650S replacement.
  7. Fun to watch. Both cool cars. The Aventador definitely needs a dual clutch. I think a 650S would walk away from the Ave.
  8. There aren't enough good adjectives to describe your SV. Such a gorgeous spec. It screams Lamborghini but is approachable as others have said. The pic in front of the house is so money. I also love the ones inside. I'm sure you "visited" it several times the first day/night. I know I would. A healthy congrats and enjoy for many miles to come.
  9. Stunning Color. Love it! It really works well on the SV. Congrats!
  10. My Guesses are: For the Reds - Rosso Vik (forgot the new name) or Rosso Leto For the Blues - Mexico Blue, Voodoo Blue, or Riviera Blue Matte White Honestly hard to pick a bad color for this car. Congrats!
  11. It looks fantastic! I'm a huge fan of the Borealis. It was the color of my first Lambo and suits the car. Having a 6 speed is the icing on the cake. Congrats and enjoy.
  12. To start, congrats on SV. Not enough cool words to describe it. It embodies everything Lamborghini stands for. I never use the strata mode. The first thing I do after starting the Ave is put it in sport and push the manual button. Like doing the shifting myself and defeating the start/stop function. While driving, I'll toggle between sport and corsa depending on how I want the car to drive. Corsa shifts can be addicting, though. Enjoy the new car! Also would love to hear some comparisons of it with the 650S. I was looking into an LT but am reluctant to let go of the Aventador.
  13. I like all three but am going to give props to McLaren here. They have built an animal. I have been researching the 675LT quite a bit and it is next on my want list. I would put it up against all of the cars mentioned on this thread and most street legal production vehicles--with the exception of the current three hyper cars and maybe the Veyron. Why? A friend of mine was involved in the SV, 991GT3RS, Speaciale, Huracan, and a 675LT duking it out at button willow and then do a straight line from a dead stop. The result, the LT handily won both rounds. All the participants were not surprised at the track result but apparently at the straight line races. It was expected the SV would do its thing here. And it did, until 50-60 mph. Then the LT started pulling on it pretty hard. It put three car lengths on the SV in short order. 0 to 124 in the LT is 7.9. That is fast! If memory serves, the P1 does the same deed in 6.8. Not bad for being down almost 250hp and no help from an electric motor. Believe me, I'm a fan of all three brands. They each have their own place. The SV speaks for itself. Bold, beautiful--it's a Lambo. The McLarens have been said to lack soul. The LT, to me, changes that. It's a great looking car and the performance is incredible. It's not a 650S with a body kit and a tune (not knocking the 650S as its quite a machine). The LT has a lot of what may seem minor changes that add up to a supercar killer. The exhaust sound on shifts even sounds good. But McLaren has not been a good value proposition to date with its "entry level" cars. I believe the LT will be different. Only 500 coupes and 500 convertibles will be made. Time will tell. The RS is an awesome machine. It probably will take beatings like no other. But it still has the 911 look at the end of the day. Okay it has that cool wing in the back to differentiate it from its relatives. I'd like to have one but not at the going rate. The RS is said to have a production run of 3000. Rumors are now floating around that number could increase even more. I don't see the value in a car with that kind of volume. Prices I think have peaked and have one but one direction to go. Of course, this is just one guy's opinion. I wouldn't have thought even a few months ago about being slanted toward a Mac. But they have delivered and I might just have to give one a go...
  14. Congrats! I really like the Viper in that blue. The ACR's are reclaiming a lot of track records. I'm sure you'll have a blast at the track in it. Enjoy.
  15. It is Voodoo Blue. That 918 belonged to a friend of mine for awhile. It's a great color in person. Last I checked, it was still at Naples Motorsports.
  16. First of all, Congrats! As for colors, what do you think about Verde Mantis from the Hurcan? It's a nice bright green color. I also think Blu Caleum would be cool. Black or Silver SV decals would work nice with that color. Blue or Silver Accents in the interior. Maybe even red accents if you want to be bold. You also can't go wrong with Blu Nethuns. I'm also partial to the Dione wheels even though they aren't center locking. Look forward to seeing your spec.
  17. Congrats! Can't wait to see how you spec it.

That is so boss! I love the whole car but the back end is the best improvement IMO. Well done, McLaren. Congrats to the new owner! The Yellow looks great.
  19. This particular 918 is actually a color called Vodoo Blue. It is a little darker than Mexico Blue. The picture doesn't do the car justice. It was stunning in person. That shade of blue just works great with all of the carbon fiber bits. A friend of mine in AZ was the original owner of the car but sold it a few months back. Here is some more useless info about Vodoo Blue. The color was lifted off of the Toyota FJ Cruiser and Porsche paint to sample matched it. I'm sure the quality of paint on the 918 was just little better than the FJ.
  20. Huge congrats on the 918! The more I see them, the more I like them. Looking forward to some pics with your other cars.
  21. Good catch. That is/was actually my dad's 348. He just sold it. That is his garage as well. As you can probably tell, he's into Corvettes. I have all of my cars delivered there as there's a lift I can use to detail and mess around with cars on.
  22. Huge Congrats! A Verde Ithaca LP with a manual. It doesn't get much better than that. Enjoy.
  23. I wouldn't call it a loss. That is why they make different cars for different tastes. I think he has pretty damn good taste in cars. CGT=
