pockmark Report post Posted April 29, 2010 Id need a wide angle lens. Im about to buy something REALLY interesting... Ill try to put them all in the same place after thats done.... But It will take several months to get it home. awesome. My father has been buying tons lately. Not to bring politics into the forum, but he has this theory that our administration will be taking away our right to bear arms at some point. He recently bought an AR-15 and an MP4. He's got a glock .40, .44 magnum, .357 magnum, 12 guage mossberg, a couple .22's for my mom, a berretta, and a bunch of other shit. I had to start small and get a 9mm handgun, but after the wife and I get some shit out of the way-buy the next house, get a fast toy, etc, I will add to the collection. Richard Wallace Report post Posted April 30, 2010 Speaking of new guns... Just picked up a new Concealed Carry Piece yesterday. Wanted something smaller than some of the ones I carry on occasions, since summer is coming up and my assortment of 1911's and Poly's are all somewhat larger 4+ inch barrels. Picked up a Kahr CW40 (.40 Cal) 3.5 inch barrel, 25 oz's. Little thing basically fits in the palm of my hand. I was going to get the CW45 (.45 cal) - but the small size and control-ability with such a short barrel was not conducive for good follow ups (thing kicked pretty bad). and the CW9 (9mm) is not my first choice in caliber. Has to be one of the lightest, smallest 40 cals on the market. Had some trigger work done on it, it is a DAO trigger, which I did not change, but changed it from a 7lb pull to a 5.5 lb pull, put a little higher tension spring, which helps with recoil/kick. I have to do a few hours at my farm to get a few hundred rounds through it for the break in. But with the 50 I put through it yesterday, it feels more like a 9 from a kick stand point and is very accurate from 10 yard as my Kimber or Springfield full size, but can fit in a pocket or IWB holster and go completely undetected. Richard Wallace Report post Posted April 30, 2010 Thats a nice gun.... Im thinking about picking up a 1911 in 10mm eventually. I have a Glock 20 in 10mm (all my 1911's are 45's). I love the 10mm round, a little more punch than a .40 but the same amount of kick. I would say the only issue about 10mm's - is finding ammo. On line you can get it, but god forbid you try and pick some up at our local gun shop - most do not carry it. It was gaining huge popularity in the mid/late 1990's but has since fallen off drastically. Of all the guns I take out an shoot on a regular basis, the 10mm is the least frequent - due to the ammo situation or lack there of. Something to consider... The last few hundred rounds I bought in 10mm FMJ's (Federal) was more expensive than the same amount of Gold Dot .45 ammo HP rounds. I liken it to buying ammo for my 16 gauge shotguns, one of my favorite guns, but hard to find rounds.

IsleroMan Report post Posted April 30, 2010 Thats a nice gun.... Im thinking about picking up a 1911 in 10mm eventually. 10mm FTW. Love that caliber in a 1911. As Rich said, ammo is tough to find, and expensive when you do. Sadly most 10mm guns are now out of production.

Roman Report post Posted May 25, 2010 Finally picked up my Remington 700 in .338 Lapua Magnum. Gathering items to put it together (bipod, Rail, glass).... For comparison, the round on the left is the Standard Military issue 5.56x45 NATO Round used in the M16/M4/ AR15 (.223 Remington). The round in the middle is the 7.62x51 NATO round used in the M14/AR10/M24 (.308 Winchester) The round on the right is the .338 Lapua Magnum

soup Report post Posted May 25, 2010 Heres a shot with it next to my (NON-SBR) AR for perspective. Looks nice, could you tell me more about gun regulations? I know you are allowed to carry a gun in several states but to what extent (handgun, rifle, ...)? I guess you can't take those 2 out and keep them in your car.
