cake Report post Posted April 8, 2012 not enough at the moment.... Boyd & Blair vodka, a tiny bit of dry vermouth, garnished with blue cheese stuffed olive wrapped with italian prosciutto. cake Report post Posted April 8, 2012 That sounds fantastic. Will have to try it with the prosciutto. Boyd and Blair is a locally made potato vodka - very high quality with a distinctive taste. http://boydandblair.com/ We also like Ketel One and Titos but the Bada Bing needs Boyd & Blair. Discovered this drink at one of our fav restaurants: Eleven (downtown Pittsburgh) Make sure the prosciutto is Italian, high quality - not too fatty/oily. Add dry vermouth to taste. Hubby omits it (he likes his martinis ultra dry). I prefer a little vermouth in this particular drink. The combination of flavors makes it smooth as silk. I usually don't like any drink that tastes like alcohol but this is so smooth & easy to drink it's dangerous (in a good way) We shake the vodka (and optional vermouth) over ice, then pour into a martini glass garnished with the olives/prosciutto. The meat and olives impart a bit of oil adding to the complex flavors. Let me know how you like it!

Chimay52 Report post Posted April 8, 2012 Dogfish Head Ale 90 IPA at the moment. Running out though so I'll have to take another trip across the border soon unless any of you fine folks want to bring me some.
AccidentalChef Report post Posted April 8, 2012 It's a red wine sort of night.... bit of shiraz. Last night was a slightly excessive quantity of Jager. Dogfish Head Ale 90 IPA at the moment. That might be my favorite beer in the world.
Saleenfan Report post Posted April 8, 2012 I think I may go back to contracting in Switzerland or contracting in a danger zone to make money. Funny I started drinking and had the exact same thought (seriously). I started with a bottle of vouvray to go with dinner. then the pre party started with flaming Dr peppers (not my choice) now im headed out so we will see what happens
Chimay52 Report post Posted April 8, 2012 That might be my favorite beer in the world. It's one of my favorites as well but unfortunately I can't get it up here. So whenever I'm close to the border I have to slip across and grab a bunch, which is tough because I am not supposed to have large quantities of great tasting beer in the house. I'm sort of like a dog. You can't just fill their bowl with 4 days worth of food and think they'll space it out over 4 days, they just eat it all right away. Dr. Noisewater Report post Posted April 8, 2012 I have decided to log in from the iphone versus getting out of bed and making it to the laptop, i can see the laptop from the bed but it seems way to difficult to get there. I think this has something to do with the 15 shots of tequila and several kettle/sodas consumed last nite.
