Fortis Report post Posted February 12, 2014 This I know we have a LOT of owners past and present but just don't understand it. Some of the "Fast and Furious" threads on LP really crack me up they love fighting over that .001 of a second as long as the boys are having fun that's all that matters. Chimay52 Report post Posted February 12, 2014 I daily drive a big lifted Nissan ###### with big rims and off road tires that gets like 2 miles to the gallon. I drive between 4500 and 5000 miles per month for work and hockey. Financially, I'm a fcuking moron.
TheFilipinoStig Report post Posted February 12, 2014 My favorite cars are all older - McLaren F1, F40, Miura, Countach, 250 GT SWB. I love the Lexus LF-A and the Ferrari F12 and would have either one over almost anything produced now (except a Huayra, Agera, or 918 or P1). I think Lexus is seriously competitive and I might even consider one soon. I would rather take a Ford Fiesta ST over a lot of cars. I mean a LOT of cars. I could care less what is faster to 60 or what has the biggest price tag. I think lots of cars lack character and have miserable design and will NOT stand the test of time very well. Very few cars have gotten this right.
ct1 Report post Posted February 13, 2014 Loves: FF...even the way it looks. If ever one were to find its way into the garage, custom shields that feature a kicking donkey vs. the horse. Old dodge power wagons! You don't like'm, make sure you're still a man. Forestry Department livery, even better. GT40 Superformance. You think its a "kit car", I think you're sad, lonely, and can't appreciate a 95% facsimile that is an absolute blast to drive and doesn't require James G's wallet. James G: hoping he accidentally revives a by gone era and brings forth "a one man's vision" renaissance in the automobile business, only one far more affordable. Ford Raptor. Waiting for 2015 build. It will see more pavement than dirt. Don't care. 2015 S class coupe may actually be cooler than a 991. Lets face it, my commute is not a race track, if it were, I'd rock a track car. The Countach, 2001 Diablo, and LM002 are the Lambo trinity for me. 512 TR. I'm starting to crave the Miami Vice look, minus the drug trafficking porn 'stache and pink jackets. I'm talking d p porsches, folks. And yeah, Kia is doing a fabulous job from a design perspective. Rising design/quality tide lifts all boats. Secretly, think it would be fun to have a new beetle, all wheel drive, and huge h.p. just to red light troll new turbo buyers! Hates: The Panamera, but love the wagon version they showed last year. The 348, 355, suck. I know everyone loves the 355, get over it. Top Gear (U.S & U.K), you've jumped the shark. Go away. Chris Harris is my bloke. Honda. You, you, what the hell are your doing. Never liked you, and you've proven my point for me.

Will_ Report post Posted February 13, 2014 I think the panemera is one of the ugliest cars to be made in the past decade. It looks like like a moldy egg. I don't think Pagani has done any revolutionary engineering as it seems they are praised for (although Horacio was one of the first in carbon fiber), I think the front half of the Huayra is extremely ugly, and I don't like some of their ways of doing PR (ie cheating on Top Gear, trying to bring a car into the US with Koenigsegg's exemption for legality). I think they're major selling point is the "passion and flair" of their Italian (except not really) roots, and I don't like when that wins out over engineering. That's bound to be an unpopular one. Tara Report post Posted February 13, 2014 In my high achool days I personally egged over 100 Priuses/electric cars, a group of friends and I did it every other weekend or so for a few months until the story was ran in the SF Chronicle. Cool bro. Possibly damage people's personal property. Property that is not cheap or easy to fix as well, ie paint.
Will_ Report post Posted February 13, 2014 Cool bro. Possibly damage people's personal property. Property that is not cheap or easy to fix as well, ie paint. I know I know, i was bad. Peer pressure was high and I felt bad after the first time. I've had my cars egged several times too though, and I agree its not cool. Title said automotive confessions, not incriminating confessions of vandalism which would be easy to figure out who the victims were by searching for San Francisco chronicle stories. You're right, I wish I could edit that out because it doesn't belong in the thread, if a moderator could do so I would be grateful. Throwing fake puke in a movie theater, not sure you are qualified to comment on this, though your honesty and regret are appreciated ....we've all done stupid things we regret. I know I have. Don't have that much band width in my life. Either way we all done stupid things when we were teenagers. He's an idiot for posting it, but piling on seems unnecessary. That's all. Allan-Herbie Report post Posted February 13, 2014 I will add.. The Mclaren Mp4.. Does absolute zero for me... Having to spend 10s of thousands of dollars on a new car to make it look decent is laughable inmo. I do admire its performance and technology though. I think from that segment, the 458 is the best looking of the bunch ( Huracan not included) I like the 348 better than I like the 355 Bentley is the best daily driver there is. Id love to own an old pimp style Rolls Royce. Every year I seem to love old Porsches more and more..

kinnsella Report post Posted February 13, 2014 Every year I seem to love old Porsches more and more.. I agree, I would love a very early 930 or a 935. A buddy of mine collects them, he has 3 first year euro cars he is restoring.
Jagata Report post Posted February 13, 2014 When I was a kid I use to tinker with my dad's even back then it was old Toyota Corona and today I think the old Japanese cars are cool now. Would also like to have the classic pocket cars ie. Fiat 500, Mini cooper.
kinnsella Report post Posted February 13, 2014 Ok I have a new low... I was once a passenger with one of my best friend's Jeff and roommate at the time driving our other roommate Mary Beth's 83 red VW cabrio with a white roof around Redondo Beach. It was emasculating. We had the top down. It only happened once. Both our cars weren't running...that never happened again.
