  1. Fantastic job. Beautiful car. I'll keep a look out for you this year.
  2. Very impressive. The rear quarter bumpers remind me of a Diablo.
  3. I actually don't think you need any kind of excuse or reason to own more than one Lamborghini. For me the real question is - if circumstances allow then why wouldn't you?
  4. Diablo SV roadster RHD - for me thats holy grail territory. Proper unobtainium. I have been searching for one forever. I'd give my left bollock and a close family member for one of those. Do you know the whereabouts of the others? I was told all 5 first came to the UK and those that departed were then trans shipped onwards. Any chance of posting up photos in the Diablo section. It would be greatly appreciated if you are so inclined. Somewhere on a old hard drive I have pics of the destroyed car prior to its demise. I will see if I can locate them.
  5. Lamborghini SUV. Neh. This has taken a lot for me to process. I have only recently reluctantly, and begrudgingly, accepted that the models without scissor doors are true Lamborghinis. God only knows what my therapist will say when I tell him I now have to rationalise an SUV with a bull badge. Saying that if this thing funds the investment for the next V12 (n/a V12, electric motors, dual clutch in 2021/22 is my prediction) then I suppose it will have served a purpose. I really hope that the brand is not diluted by this and that Porsche is the nearest equivalent template. That is to say that Porsche have somehow retained their sports car manufacturer status despite all those other things they produce. In fact Porsche's status as a sports car has probably increased as a result of the profits realised from the other models allowing them to invest more heavily in their sports cars. Lamborghini has always been seen as a sports car manufacturer. And not just any sports car. The most edgy, ambitious, stylish and totally out there brand. Apologist to no one with the attitude of FU if you don't like it. Leaders not followers. Long may it continue.
  6. 16 Feb for my invitation. Location - Stamford Bridge. They are being very coy. Invitation simply states "New Lamborghini V10" and doesn't mention Performante. Unless they are offering the Av with a V10 engine then it is definitely not the Aventador S
  7. Both are stunning. They should be bought as a non matching pair.
  8. 666 plates are rare and, if they ever come up, expensive. There are quite a few triple F plates available on DVLA. Triple F is only for you if you don't much care if others get it or not.
  9. A long time ago Roy confirmed the number to me by email exchange. Unfortunately I can't locate the correspondence. It was either 23 + 3 SE's or 26 + 3 SE's manufactured in RHD. If I had to choose it would be the former. So 27 isn't far off either way. Irrespective of actual number it's a rare car. I absolutely love mine and so does everyone else I know that owns one.
  10. I seem to remember a few years back Chaos did an inciteful post explaining the various phases following a new model reveal. As I recall it was spot on.
  11. Mine. Italy, 2013. Taken by I don't know who and posted on internet. All tucked up for winter hibernation now. Not a problem until Christmas is done and done. Thereafter withdrawal symptoms will set in reaching a crescendo by late March. Must stay strong. Keep repeating to myself - salt is bad, salt is bad.
  12. +1 Binged 6 of 8 this weekend. It starts slow in ep1 (pay attention to details) and gets better & better. I don't want it to end.
  13. Thank goodness it's back. I've been spending all my time on share forums and mindlessly watching on line share tickers with the 1000 yard stare. It was driving me bonkers.
  14. I'm going to go against what seems to the general theme here. In almost all instances I prefer the original wheels that come with the car. More so than many car manufacturers, Lamborghini seem to have put a lot of thought in to the wheel design and in particular how the wheel compliments the overall design of the model. I have yet to see an after market wheel on a Lamborghini that looks better than the original wheel. Maybe equal to, but never better.
  15. Looking at this car makes me hungry. Sod this, I'm off to Crazy Johns for a snack.
  16. Beautiful car ! Colour fads come and they go but MB/BN is tastefully timeless.
  17. I am struggling to find the superlatives to adequately describe that car.
  18. Thanks whiteout. As always a great source. BTW - I still haven't fitted the ign coils for my 6 litre that you supplied to me ~3 years ago. I've been waiting for the originals to fail but they keep on going. Maybe this winter I'll just bite the bullet.
  19. I'm going to get a piece cut before I even look at mine. What is the spec? Id, Od, pressure rating etc. What length is it? I reckon I'll get enough for two changes and leave the spare in my " I'm really glad I have one of those" box in the garage.
  20. The Treynor and andecorp examples are my two favourites on this thread. Both stunning. If I had to choose then the gloss CF on andecorp car would swing it for me. This car will be a future classic.
  21. Lost in translation. English english Vs American english. It simply means I agree with what you wrote/said. I believe you have a similar phrase "true that" which we don't commonly use but pretty much means the same thing. Sorry for the confusion. So there is no doubt - I hate kit cars that pretend to be the real thing.
