One thing Ive learned from my life experience is that sometimes things arent genetic so much as its the food that links our families generational diseases together. My fam suffers from hypertension, diabetes, heart disease etc. I was heading there but I changed my diet and lifesyle in my late 20's big time and the hypertension etc went away. Hopefully Ive done enough to avoid developing diabetes and heart disease. So far so good. I say all this to say that its not a death sentence for you because your family has that history. Get your heart checked periodically and then do the necessary changes to your diet and lifestyle [exercise more etc].

Sorry to hear of your loss...I lost my little brother when he was 23...life is truly short...

i Lost my dad at age 52 to heart disease, I am at age 36 with 2 heart attacks under my belt my brother at 44 with 4 heart attacks it's a fucked up genes in the blood that circulates between the family, you need to take care of yourself as well Allan.

My deepest condolensces. I nearly lost my father when I was 14 and he was about 42. Luckily, by the grace of God, he survived his heart attacks and changed his lifestyle.
