What are you smoking? It beats the pants off of the Diablo every day, twice on days then end in Y and three times on Sundays. The Diablo looks like a C6 'POS compared to the Aventador.

As for the Countach I think the Aventador is a better looking car. That said the Countach was so out of this world compared to anything done before in the car world period. I could see from an emotional standpoint saying the Countach was the better looking car if you grew up with it in the 80's.

I seriously wonder if half of these people posting blah responses to the Aventador are trolls looking for a fight or have an image blocker that is switching the Aventador for a Fiero...

I'm not anti-Aventador. I LOVE the car. Saying I prefer one car's looks over another =/= I don't like the "loser" car entirely. It's a matter of personal preference. Different strokes and all that.

And I'm absolutely certain that you haven't seen the car yet, so to say a normal Diablo (nevermind an SE30 or a GT, etc.) looks like a Corvette next to an Aventador, is pretty presumptuous.

The yellow Diablo SV with black racing rims and pop up headlights that I saw in NYC on a family vacation made me fall in love with Lamborghini. I can't claim to have fallen in love due to the Countach even though I am a child of the 80's. I completely agree that the Diablo is a special vehicle but to see all these people keep flaming the Aventador seriously makes me feel like I am in a different dimension where down is up and left is right. The Aventador really is a huge leap forward. Maybe I am drinking the Juice from Winky too much but I really love the car.

No one is "flaming" the Aventador. Take a valium.

I was being overly dramatic for arguments sake and didn't mean to come off like an a-hole. That being said I saw the car at the NYC premier with two other LP members so feel free to ask around. I can also post a picture of Winky and I so this doesn't turn in to a "So Swil" event.

Since we are arguing taste and that is something that is clearly subjective I will leave it at that.

HannibalACP82 was my guest at the NYC Premiere so he has seen the car. Its fair to say the Aventador is polarizing but as I recall, so was the Murcielago when it first arrived. Most, but clearly not all, of those who have seen the car in person are in love with it. Still, only time will tell but as for me, as a matter of personal preference, I am in love. I love them all... Viva Lambo!

Nice juxtaposition of the V12 Lamborghini Supercar lineage. Its interesting to look at the clear design impact that bumper height and pedestrian impact standards have had as the models have progressed.

The size difference between the Countach and the Aventador is massive. The Countach looks like a 7/8ths scale model.

I can still recall numerous publications in the 80's calling the Countach the "Big" Lamborghini and making comments about how large it was. How times have changed.

The new car is epic, and as evidenced in those photos, a quantum leap beyong the Murcielago, but I'll still take the Countach for straight up kickassedness :icon_super:

Unless you're waiting for the next G, you are crazy if you buy any other exotic than the LP700. It's not perfect, but man does this car look 10x better than everything else available. Press shots sucked, but real shots in other colors look awesome. Quite the swan. And given the disappointing numbers coming out of the 12C, it will probably be better too.

Not the prettiest car but definitely aggressive and top of the charts on the must-have-it list.

Not fair comparing with pocket rocket V8 12Cs and 458s. This is the big block 12 cylinder L GT. Diablos and Murcies were never trackdogs. Too slow through chicanes and carousels; big torque but still sluggish coming out of turns.

Better comparison would be with DBS, 599 GTO, so forth. This car is tits and is the best out there in its class right now.

The angle of my dangle is decreasing for the 12C with each review released. Honestly the primary plus for this car was the performance. The styling is blandish and without the class topping performance what we've got is Evora level looks and less than 458 performance. The 12C forecast isn't entirely rosey...

And the whole "MP4-redeemed-as-rich-guy-GTR" angle is weak. Just because it can be boosted doesn't mean it will have any of the emotional excitement most of the other cars in this class already have in spades.

Hopefully McLaren can inject some apparantly needed rawness into the CS version of the car.

Of course it does...if youre blind in one eye..

The Veyron has never been a very good looking car to me honestly. The true appeal in my eye comes from how amazing it is as an engineering achievement, how staggering it's performance is for a stock road car. How incredible it is as a whole.

Sort of like the Space Shuttle...or Sasha Grey...not the prettiest face but surely awe-inspiring when considering just what it can do... :icon_mrgreen: :icon_thumleft:
