Copper Report post Posted February 1, 2010 when the weather is bad that's when it is evo time I used to be a Mitsubishi nut, Mitsubishi V Subaru times :icon_mrgreen Over the years I had their full range starting with the Mitsubishi Lancer GSR which was the 1.8 turbo 4WD than I had in sequence Evo 1,2,3, 4, 5 and 6 in my opinion 3 and 6 were the best, the 3 was my favorite out of the lot. I am not buying these type of cars anymore because the cops here are terrorizing you if they see you driving one, very hard to keep your license here if you drive an EVO, STi or a GTR. I got pulled over once in my Lambo in almost 4 years of ownership and there was no fine, during Japanese sports car times I used to be pulled over on weekly basis It came with Yokohama Avan's on it, there not the best for cold wet weather driving. Going to be buying some better winter performace tires for next years Portland rainy winter driving. I agree that the Evo 3 is the best looking one aswell. I understand about the whole police and japanese sports car thing, thats where being a police officer has it's perks I guess. I'm a car guy all around. When out on patrol, if I see a nice car ie. Lambo all the way to an Evo, I always give a thumbs up.

Inphinity Report post Posted February 2, 2010 you need the right tire set up and you good to go. I wanted to get another 3 but it is impossible to find a nice clean one. Agreed, match the right tyres to it and weather won't be such a problem The stock tyres they provide some areas with them are rubbish though imo. As for an unmolested 3... good luck on that! You would probably have to buy several, one as a base car, and a few more as donors, to find a complete set of good-condition, original parts, haha! That said, I think my favourite Evo so far is the IX FQ360 .. I haven't driven any of the X FQ series yet though, and we didn't get any FQ400s down here that I know of, so .. who knows. 3 was definitely most gokart like though, but I feel the 5/6/6.5 have a bit more... I dunno what the word is, just feels a bit better to me. I never owned a 1/2/3 but driven them a bunch (and the 0's if you count them, lol) and always feel just that little bit less predictable - some would say thats better I guess, more raw, but I like to know what the result of my action is gonna be Eagerly awaiting news of the XI - the X just feels too sluggish for my liking, though the increase in quality & style is good imo
vilhelm Report post Posted February 4, 2010 That's bad ass! Around my area you don't ever see clean old school A8s, let alone one with a turbo 4. Those all came with 4.2s back in the day, correct? Also, E55 AMGs, still one of my favorites! Thanks. It's an Inline 5 - 2.2 liters. They came with a bunch of different engines: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audi_A8 This one is custom built. LOTS of things had to be modified to it to get it to work.

Resale wise you're probably doing pretty well on it, those M cars hold their value better than many in the price bracket. Supercar Ace Report post Posted July 29, 2015 Supercar Ace, awesome E46 M3! I can't count how many times I drooled over a Laguna Seca Blue M3, I wanted one so bad. Thanks Took a year and half to find, I wanted a coupe in LSB with a 6 speed. Picked it up on May 1st 2009 and drove it to Bimmerfest the next day. Def had a lot of fun adventures with it Nothing wrong with an E46 M3 at all man! Resale wise you're probably doing pretty well on it, those M cars hold their value better than many in the price bracket. I refuse to sell it, I still get people offering me what I paid for it back in 2009. This was poster-on-the-wall dream car #1. I still love it today if not more than the first day I scooped it up. The market is holding well for these if you keep them clean and maintained, and still a lot of car even by today's standards. Certainly not the fastest car out there, but easily one of the most fun, the design is timeless and still looks modern, and putting it in the twisties is always a joy. I think I have way to many pictures laying around...Here's a few more

RobberBaron Report post Posted July 29, 2015 My daily for now. I am looking to get a new DD in the next year or so and make my current a weekend sunshine car. I am thinking a 4.2 09 R8 and a Hellcat Charger will be my new dailies next year. I am tempted by the G550 though, but the depreciation is nuts. Sorry the car is dirty in a few pics. Pumcy Report post Posted July 31, 2015 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 3.8L V6 312hp RWD 6speed manual Bought the car in August 2009 (some of you may remember the thread. It's somewhat embarassing, but here's the link) at the time I was convinced it was the best idea ever. I had been sinking tons of money into a shitty broken Jetta, so my justification was the new car costs less than my monthly repairs, I should get that. I was also dealing with the death of my best friend, and by extension my own mortality. I realize now how naiive I was to purchase a car to counter that feeling. Here I am, 6 years later. I have 7 days left until my very last payment comes out and I can't wait! I've learned the hard way that I will never finance another car again. Anyway, the car has been mostly good to me. I've had a few minor issues over the years, but until the last year things were great with the car. After the waranty expired last year though, the shocks have since completely failed, the clutch is no longer needed to start the car, and one of the headlights is flaky. I've got just over 77000KM on the odometer. I expect I'll have this car for some time yet.
HannibalACP82 Report post Posted July 31, 2015 2005 Honda Civic EX Special Edition. 4dr Sedan with....an auto It was the wifes and when we got married and then had kids it became mine. 10 years and 120k later it is getting ready to be sold to my lil bro as his first car and I will be rocking a brand new 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander courtesy of my company over here in AD. Of the 4 choices we were given only 2 had cruise control (A MUST OVER HERE) and this is the only 1 with 7 seats. Lucky me......
