kinnsella Report post Posted March 31, 2018 manual or auto transmission? I like the turbo wheels on it. Agree that it makes it look updated. The 5-speed manual is awful. Auto suits the car.
djantlive Report post Posted March 31, 2018 The 5-speed manual is awful. Auto suits the car. Really? What’s wrong w the 5 speed? Is it different than the stick shift in 944? I test drove an auto 928. It was sluggish and heavy. I prefer a stick
Destructo Report post Posted March 31, 2018 Not being much of a Porsche guy, what’s the significance on this one? It looks in great shape, congrats!
Smash Boy Report post Posted March 31, 2018 Really? What’s wrong w the 5 speed? Is it different than the stick shift in 944? I test drove an auto 928. It was sluggish and heavy. I prefer a stick I drove a friend's '89 S4 back in 2001 or so, manual. Was just fine I thought. Car was very nice overall. The car is a GT, so even if the shifter isn't perfect it shouldn't matter IMHO. I doubt the 928 will be driven like a Cayman GT4 at the Tail of the Dragon anytime soon... Meanwhile the real POS stickshift in the Porsche family is that 915 out of the '80s 911 SC.....a sportier car with a worse shifter, and nobody ever says anything ....go figure.
