Destructo Report post Posted July 27, 2009 As the title implies. TommyJames was kind enough to take my suggestion on making a list of questions those of us from L/P would like to ask Corporate at the luncheon. From this thread: http://www.lambopower.com/forum/index.php?...mp;#entry625969 Please post your questions here, makes them reasonable please. I will put up my questions here tonight. Destructo Report post Posted July 27, 2009 1. We heard for so long that there was going to be no RWD configuration as AWD was the safer and better option. Is the Balboni Edition 560 an indication of the future for Lamborghini? In the sense of corporate listening to the demand and responding? and secondly will there, for the future, be a RWD option available but for the entire line up, but in limited edition releases? TheFilipinoStig Report post Posted July 27, 2009 Are V12s going to remain as part of the top model? Will true gated 6-speed gearboxes remain for those who still think Lamborghini's aren't supposed to be easy to drive and want that? Ditto on Destructo's RWD. fastlane Report post Posted July 27, 2009 Is it true the engine in the LP640 LP650 and Reventon are all identical. And the LP550-2 and LP560-4 are also the same as each other. And in the past you said the better ones were picked off the Dyno for the Reventon over the LP640 Doesn't that mean you picked the worst ones for the LP550-2 over the LP560-4. Or can you admit they are the same and it is just marketing. And some people think they are all under rated anyway is that true. Does the LP640 and the LP560 both put out more HP than advertised. KING-640 Report post Posted July 27, 2009 What motivated the current and asinine naming scheme? And, will you please for the sake of Lamborghini's illustrious history and loyal customer base, MAKE IT fcuking STOP?

Turbo50Mike Report post Posted July 27, 2009 What is the latest timeline on possibly adding a third model line? Probably as soon as the economy recovers...I have a feeling if the economy didn't go into the toilet, the Estoque would have been produced. Allan-Herbie Report post Posted July 27, 2009 Lamborghini needs a flagship model that performs. Like Ferrari has done with the F40/F50/Enzo... Does Lambo have any plans for this, and please dont say the Revolting as that is a joke... How badly do they hate Allanlambo over in Santa ####? Lambo needs to break out TURBOCHARGING before Ferrari does...

eddyshea Report post Posted July 27, 2009 Lots of long term Lamborghini owners like me really would like to see AT LEAST the flagship Lamborghini model is truly the " KING OF THE ROAD" like Veryon as far as the OVERALL PERFORMANCE, ENGINEERING, MATERIAL TECHNOLOGY, etc. concern. I have tremendous confidence on the factory that STYLE and DESIGN of the next Halo car is going to be as impressive and astonishing as CT, Diablo, Murci, etc. Obviously Audi is willing to pour in all kinds of resources into rejuvenating Buggatti brand. Will there ever be a day that the Audi upper brass and/or Lamborghini highest management like you two are willing to put words where the mouth is and actually and seriously in producing those F70 or latest Zonda beaters performance wise in the near future? DrVertigo Report post Posted July 27, 2009 Do they have any plans for facelifting the Gallardo again before its total replacement? Like a few other posters, I'd like to know if they can tell us which market sector the new V12 flagship will be targetting. How far away is partial hybrid integration in the Lamborghini lineup (including stop/start tech)? What kind of new technologies are to be implemented within the next five years? How is the financial crisis affecting the company internally, specifically with regard to product planning. How far in advance was the 550-2 planned? What's the current status of the Estoque, and have they had any thoughts about changing any fundamentals from the concept if they do bring the car into production. Specifically... do they still plan on using an entry-level engine (the concept suggests that, at most, it would be using the standard V10, with the possibility of smaller powerplants) or might the car be shifted up a tier. Do they intend to continue producing tiny-volume, extreme-priced production concepts like the Reventon, and if they do, will they be more radical like the Concept M (Miura) and S (dual-cockpit Gallardo)? dyvatvol15 Report post Posted July 27, 2009 Are they planning Gallardo LPxxx-x Superleggera? Reventon Roadster? Extreme version like Reventon on the basis of Gallardo??
Mr. Vroom Report post Posted July 27, 2009 Co-branding and pricing issues: The LP560 and the Audi R8 V10 are virtually identical(body panels and interiors excluded). Both are great cars, yet the Audi cost $70,000 less. Many would say that the introduction of the R8 has to a degree, diluted the brand appeal and the exclusivity of the Lamborghini marque. The resale market has also spoken loud and clear, with first year LP560 owner depreciation costs approaching $70,000!! Given the weak economy, previous Gallardo overproduction and combine this with the economies of scale for producing two models on the same platform, how can the factory justify the massive price differential between these two, nearly identical cars? Follow up questions: Will Audi employ the same co branding strategy with the next generation Murcielago replacement? Will we see an Audi variant built on the same platform with the same chassis, engine, drivetrain and technology a year or two after the Murci hits the market? carbuff Report post Posted July 27, 2009 When will the Gallardo model be discontinued? When will Lamborghini actually honor USA car warranty when you import a USA car into Canada? (Lamborghini Canada does not want to service US cars.) When will Lambo open up the borders between US and Canada, so that prices can equalize between these 2 countries (and they can sell a ton more cars in Canada)? When will they make service manuals (shop manuals) available to owners? (answer is never) When will they actually admit that the Estogue is the ugliest vehicle Lambo ever designed, and dillutes the brand with a 4-seater mommy-mobile. And will they promise to never bring the concept up again.
VCR Report post Posted July 28, 2009 Sorry but let's be practical --- as if the Lambo guys are really going to spill out everything we asked. At best, it will be a PR exercise with a few hints just to wet the appetite. Why not make "suggestions" to these guys to ponder on --- let them hear what Lambo owners want and should get but be pragmatic and factor in real-life economic terms (e.g. sure we would want a new flagship Lambo to match or beat a Veyron but is that truly a reality?) Start with down-to-earth things like: how about making clear REAR side-markers for us North American poor souls?
